There is no outside force at work here. You can put your tinfoil hats away.

This is entirely ZoS. They are running multiple 'events' at the same time and the system can't handle it. Poor decision making.

Can't login at all. Login queue is 37 mins for NA. I tried the trick of switching to EU and back, but no luck. EU queue is 1 hr 41 mins. If I don't get the excessive login queue, I get Error 201 repeatedly.

It has not been possible to log in to the European servers for several hours. the queues are between 1 and 2 hours and if you wait, you will be thrown out shortly before. So far there has not even been a report from ZOS, neither how long the disruption lasts nor whether they have even noticed anything about it. Greetings from Vienna

Tried to log in, got put in a 12 min queue.
No biggie, but then when it was my turn to log in, it crashed. Can't remember the crash code, but the screen was just the log in screen, but blank, no buttons or anything.
Now stuck in a 30 min queue.

Had that happen to me last night also.
Around 11p EST or so. Tried to sign back in to PC NA, queue was only a couple mins, got error, closed the error and the client just sat there. No crash, no error, just the ESO wallpaper.
Had to Alt-F out of it. Then went to bed :/

The error people keep getting after their queue - the login servers have issues.
There are numerous other internet based companies suffering similar issues in the past couple weeks.
    It may be related.

Sat in queue for 43 mins, then it went to some nonsense about being disconnected from server. It just counted down and then right to the disconnect. Sitting in queue is a lie, don't believe it. It is Sunday and ESO will likely do nothing to fix it today.

    Existing players are really upset.

Now imagine what the new players (from Epic and ESO trail) think of the game.

How many are going to continue playing?

Not that it really matters all that much, I suppose, but it would be nice for them to at least give credit for the daily log-in rewards to ESO+ members once this is resolved, since we literally can't log in and get them today (or at least, not now, and for some of us this time window is our only chance).

You closed a BUG thread to move it here, but another thread you're moving elsewhere??? I think you need to look up the definition of consolidation!

During the afternoon of Loredas, 6 Sun’s Dawn 2e578 a big piece of Aetherius fell to Nirn. It was the first major piece of Aetherius to fall on Nirn in more than five hundred years. It scattered around the world as millions of shards. It was rapidly documented by Lady Cinnabar of Taneth in her pamphlet Aetherial Fragments that "... when three shards meet, they re-form into a silvery prism by unknown process and confer the power unlocked by the merger to a nearby being." The Order of the Black Worm, commonly known as the Worm Cult, reappeared in Tamriel shortly thereafter and some of its members are avidly searching said shards.
In the last week of First Seed 2e579, an arcane explosion occurred in the Imperial City — a night of storms, and trembling terrain. They named it the "Soulburst". That day Emperor Varen Aquilarios disappeared without a trace. His wife, Clivia Tharn, ascended to the Ruby Throne as Empress Regent under the guidance of the Necromancer Mannimarco. Ushering a time of increased instability within the Empire of Cyrodiil which finally grew into “The Three Banners War”.

Been wondering that now that I am thinking back on the past week.
Individually the other situations I had are all totally unrelated with the exception being they are online services.
Now that I'm adding them altogether it's painting a bigger picture than just ESO in my mind.
    What fun.

Gina wrote that on Friday ... still no answer midday Sunday on the North American east coast. What happened ? Elon Musk bought the company responsible for the servers ? Moscow destroyed the servers which were in Ukraine ?

Or just serendipity ? No ! Must be Elon Musk :p

just got in NA PC ... 20 minutes queue and 2 minutes for character in.

Same thing for me about an hour ago on PC Eu. They seem to have fixed their issue without letting us know. Or was it simply an overload of players this week-end. If so, then they need to increase their servers capacity again.

I really think it was a DDOS.... once one got logged in the game was fine, no issues. Lots of people around, but game ran fine for me. On both PC megaservers.

Me too. I agree with this. I also think it's some kind of DoS/DDoS attack causing the issue. I hope what ever it is thats causing the servers trouble will get fixed and resolved soon. I desperately want to play eso again.

Same. For the last 2-3 hours I have immediately gotten in. And I don't know it to be true, but as a retired IT professional this really looks and feels like a DDoS attack to me.

I'm not in IT but I've had a website design and management business for decades. There are.... signs. And my German friend alerted me to the DDOS stuff this morning - around 200 attacks early morning US MDT, the worst of them in central EU, US east coast, and US southwest.

Seems more and more likely. I don't know about anyone else, but the last two times I logged in within the last 3-4 hours or so, I had NO wait to log in. IF that was what happened, I guess they had reasons why they didn't communicate to the user base, but I'm not sure about that.

If it was a DDOS, they tend not to talk about it. I can think of only one time when they did, and that is certainly fewer than the number of times it has happened.
