Unable to research Jewelry traits

Anyone got any idea why I cannot research these traits?

I have the researchable items in my inventory, but none of them show as Researchable at the Jewelry crafting station.

I purchased the items at a guild store. Is that the problem?

Exemplary items are designed to be researched, so there is no reason they shouldn’t be able to be. That’s their sole purpose in life They can be bought and sold no problem, so something seems wrong.

Perhaps try relogging, or put them in your bank and tick the box to see banked items? It might be a temporary glitch.

If that doesn’t work, you can also try writing to Support and ask them to replace the items with new ones.

Yep, tried all that already. None of it worked.

I admire your optimism. In two years in the game, "Support" has never ever solved any issue I've ever filed a ticket for. Their standard response for everything is "Oops, sorry about that. Can't help you, though."

I’ve never seen this issue come up before, looks like you are on PC. Could it be related to an old add-on that needs to be updated? Perhaps try turning them all off and see if it fixes the problem.

do you have access to summerset right now? like either through purchase or eso+? wondering if jewelrycrafting research/crafting is possible if you've unlocked the zone in the past but can't currently go there. i agree with the above poster that disabling all addons is a good first step.

Thank you guys for the tip about add-ons! I found the culprit.

Totally forgot I had set that to 3 so it only shows blue quality items (I deconstruct everything purple):



It's now working fine.
