PC EU ping times

The servers may be OK. The ping is not. It must be said that my overall ping is bad this evening. Ping to other German websites (google.de, zdf.de) is around 200 (which is bad). However ping to zos.de is consistently another 100ms higher. In game ping too, e.g. 300+ all the time. How is everyone's ping?

EDIT: Vodafone seem to have resolved their issues. In game ping is back to around 100, even in Gray Host which is still full. I guess it was just an issue on my end after all.

Same with me fred. My average ping on EU is 360-380. Today its 500-999
Checked several different zones on 2 different pc's on 2 separate networks.

Hopefully its just the server bedding in so to speak as people login.

Mines exactly where it normally is, in the mid 60s to mid 80s range (from UK on a 76Mb Fibre to the Cabinet [FTTC] connection).

I'm also seeing very high ping today on EU 600 - 850 for the past hour since I got on. Hopefully, this is not intended as that's borderline unplayable and certainly not playable comfortably.

I always play with 80-120 ping, it's the same now, nothing changed.

My ping this evening is at 80-90, same as usual.

At my end, the ping raised too. Usually it's at 100 or slightly below, and now it's always above 133 while alone in deserted zones and very inconsistent.

Clearly they did something wrong during this long maintenance. It's not very bad at my end but it's worse than usual.

I already checked my router and did a few tests and the problem is on ESO.

It's only been hours since the hardware replacement finished, so loads of players will be logging in to see what it's now like.

Did not notice any difference in ping, or anything else. Servers seem to run smooth as always. (PC EU)

Hey a short one for you. Do you report in-game latency or checking it through different software? As far as I know it's absolutely impossible to have less than 60, even living right next to the servers both eu and na.

PC EU, Most of the time my ping is 50, sometimes going up to 67, and very rarely 80-80+. Checking this through the game itself, by checking the fps and latency boxes in the in-game settings to show these values(always playing with those on).

Keep in mind, your ping isn't just based on your connection to the server. There are many factors at play which can influence your ping. Bandwidth usage, modem speed, data translating speed, how busy your connection is, how stable your connection is, what other programs use the internet during play, your ISP, your area itself, hardware, your distance from the server, etc.

Usually the same what @Sarannah wrote. Today after restart lowest 40, highest 80, but regualary 50-67, like before restart. Even checkt by other tools, the ingame showed latency was always the same. So it`s trustfull. But latency denpends/ or get influenced by various things.

Thanks for the replies both of you. I'm aware of influence routing is having after years of troubleshooting it myself but in years never heard of people having such a good latency (sub 60) nor seen it anywhere before.

I did some ping testing and playing yesterday and it seems the servers handle high ping connections better than before.

The feel of combat at 300ms and 750ms is much smoother than before. It sounds weird to test something like this, but I did. I was curious.

around 100ms here from Finland, like usual. Didn't have any spikes yet though that have been quite common problem.

Wish something could be done to be honest, literally every other game I've played was at 40-60 max, meanwhile ESO is at least double.

40-120 is my range of my low and higher peaks. Around 70-80 is normal for me.

i play at PC EU and my ping has not changed after upgrade. it stayed and stays within 120..150mS.

Lowest point still at 66 for me, same as always. But "feeling" is bit better, akin to na server that feels more responsive at 180. Definitely interesting to see how PvP would do.

My ping after the hardware replacement is the usual, i.e. averaging about 400ms. You northern hemisphere residents have it easy!

My ping was 120 ms, now its 60. Copper wire from ukraine to pceu at 30 mbs.

Ping for me hasn't changed, still kinda high imho.
When I used to play Call of Duty on German servers from UK, I'd get a ping of 35ms.
On ESO... never seen it below 55ms and spends most of its time bouncing between 65ms and 120ms.

I play from Italy... before the servers update, in our prime time in Cyrodiil (Gray Host) my ping was between 120-200 sometimes 300... yesterday it was fantastic between 60-150... very good. My nightblade was happy to hit his enemies at the right time

My ping is a lot higher as well. and performance is still rubbish, no improvments as far as i can tell.
