Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Maybe the fact they need to move EVERYTHING to a new server, not just a case of ejecting the USB and plugging it back in

It starts at midnight, but it's scheduled to end at 2pm UK time (3-4pm for mainland Europe) so that's a significant chunk of the day the servers will be offline and if it's delayed by an hour it will be cutting into prime time for some people.

That would be a *** big USB flash drive, if they did it that way...

Exactly. It's not the 14 hours maintenance that's concerning me, I can work around that. It's the expected extended maintenance and the additional maintenances the following days during the anniversary event and Easter holidays.

Probably the best time to schedule a maintenance for a hardware upgrade.

I will take this time and touch some grass.

Kidding, i will be playing on the NA server in the meantime

With maintenance this long there's no real way of not bothering anyone.

To me this feels like the first time they actually thought about EU hours. I'm content.

I am bracing myself for that.

Hopefully they learned from the PC/NA upgrade.

Please please please RNGesus don't let the upgrade mess up Anniversary, Is THE event I look forward to...

    You've got that the wrong way around. It's 00:00 - 14:00 GMT but 01:00 - 15:00 BST (i.e. current UK time zone).

Yeah I forgot the clocks had gone forward. (I was ill that weekend, I had no idea what time it was, I'm still not sure all my clocks are right.)

So if there's no delays it will finish at 3pm for people in the UK and 4-5pm for people in mainland Europe (I'm not sure which countries use daylight savings, but I think it's most of them), meaning it's right up to the start of prime time for some people. If there's any delay it will definitely cut into that.

I did all of my dailies, endeavors, event stuff, and mail shortly after the 0300 UTC reset, which is at 11 PM EDT in my zone. Hopefully the server will be back up and running stable tomorrow in plenty of time to get everything done before reset.

It's really the last day of the event on PC NA that I'm worried about. I'll probably do an event quest the night before but not turn it in, so I can turn it in just after 6 AM EDT.

For me it covers all my playing time. The server replacement starts 10am today in my timezone, the daily reset is 1pm, and the work finishes at midnight. Then I have to leave for work very early the next morning, which means I don't get to play ESO again until after the next 1pm daily reset. So I lose a whole day of writs/endeavours/etc. I envy those of you who are complaining about only having a few hours to do your dailies.

The ESO server maintenance on April 4th has completed successfully and all servers are now up. For this reason we are going to close this thread from further comments.
