While I was playing with Serpent's Disdain on necro I thought why not change the 10% point damage passive to the extra duration of all negative statuses on the enemy, most necro builds have a lot of potential for status effects but unfortunately the Serpent's Disdain set itself is very weak , since the necro loses either survivability or damage, and the passive for dot damage itself is almost useless, except for pve, due to the difficulty of keeping enemies in the AoE zone

There is a distinct difference between "Damage over Time" and "Area Damage over Time." But one thing I am on board with: Rapid Rot I/II: Increases the duration of status effects you apply by 2/4 seconds and Increases your damage done with damage over time effects by 5%/10%.
We'll just have to see how necromancers fare in the long run.

the fact of the matter is that the set itself against the background of others is not so useful, but if some class had a passive that would extend statuses, it would make more sense and give some kind of feature to this class, well, as for me, conceptually, necro is more suitable, in addition to 10% damage from DOT, as a class focused on dark magic, death and curses, he must still somehow focus on negative effects, besides, he is already weak, and some kind of strengthening would not hurt him

The set is already one of the higher damaging PvP sets in the game. Best in slit? No, but still great. Applying ele sus on someone (or just using force pulse) while using Serpents is already 100% uptime on all the Elemental status effects. For most classes it isn't too hard to add the rest of the status effects and get 100% uptime or close to it.
Poison, Hemorrhage, and Burning near 100% uptime is a good chunk of DPS. Combine that with the rest of the status effects and all of your enemies now have 3 separate dots and another 3 or 4 debuffs at any given time.
