Reading the latest PTS Week 5 patch notes raises some questions.

Right at the top, it states: "[...] we enter the last week of PTS," and later on, "As we close out PTS testing [...], please review the full list of patch notes below."
Does this mean the PTS will be taken offline next week and remain down until Update 46 launches on June 2? Or is it simply a matter of unclear wording, meaning there will be no further maintenance or incremental patches in the remaining Mondays before release?

@ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_JessicaFolsom Thank you for your time!

So... Subclassing will arrive completely unfinished and unbalanced, and if u pay for sub, u will be paying for a live beta test for probably several months.

Arc is the best template for base "class", because unlike base classes, they have a clear tank/heal/dps skill line, making it much easier to swap out skill lines, and they also have an amazing class mastery, making them perform the best, with the most OP spammable in the game, the arc beam.

Base classes needs to have their skill lines spearated into a proper tank/dd/heal skill line maning it easier to build around, class masteries needs to be properly balanced.

Its such an unfair advantage and its simply unproffesional leaving it like it is.

The fact that arc beam overperforms so insanely much only makes this an even bigger problem, you wouldnt get the feeling of getting left out in the dust if other spammables actually came close.

So, to make a long story short, change the Arcanist class mastery to something less potent... problem fixed. And no, they aren't going to be turning base classes into DPS-Healer-Tank skill lines because it would require completely gutting and remaking the entire class... and I think players would be much more upset by that than anything subclassing does to the game.

If they could do that, that would be one good fix. But problem is not fixed, it doesnt change the fact that having a dedicated tank/dd/heal skill line still is a massive advantage that needs to be sorted out.

I also tank on templar/dk and arca, its stupidly easier to find a combo that works on arca that doesnt complete ruin my playstyle like it would my templar tank which uses skills from all 3 skill lines.

Remaking of old classes is much needed at this point and something ive wanted for many years, and who says they will be gutted? Look how subclassing turned out, its disgustingly OP.

Pure classes are allready gutted in the name of subclassing

Reducing this to “nerf Arc Mastery” misses the point entirely. The concern isn’t about a single overtuned ability. It’s about structural asymmetry: Arcanist was built around clear role divisions, with subclassing in mind. Older classes weren’t.

Saying ZOS “won’t” adjust legacy class kits because it would upset players doesn’t address whether they should. It also sidesteps the imbalance players like Heronisan are describing—namely, that some classes slot cleanly into the new system while others require cross-line scaffolding just to function.

You describe yourself as a solo PvE quester. If that’s the case, then it’s not clear why this particular imbalance would affect your experience. But your posts keep framing these questions normatively: what’s feasible, what players would tolerate, what counts as a solution. That’s not reporting. It’s editorial.

If the system favors one class structure over another, then the question isn’t how to hide it. It’s whether ZOS intends to address the gap at all.

Add a Scribing skill that works like Arcanist beam.

Veteran players have been alienated and disengaged from Overland since One Tamriel, due to the lack of difficulty, and pushed into dungeons and trials; the minority of content in the Elder Scrolls Online. We can't take the repetition anymore, fix Overland engagement for Vet players. I don't even care if it's not combat related anymore, just make Overland engaging again.
    ---
Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 10 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. Make a self debuff mythic. Literally anything at this point.

If it overflows at some point and lets them reach a negative amount of stacks I'm all for it. :)

What I wanna see in the upcoming natch potes:

    - Ult gain being a thing again
    - Balorgh restored
    - Bound Armaments restored
    - Shadow and Dark Magic skill line buff
    - Beam nerf
    - Banner staying dead
    - Overload / Rakkhat interaction fixed

So in short: Yes, I am about 85% prepared to be disappointed!

Other than Beam nerf and Voidmantle not working on Overload, all you listed is here:
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/680662/upcoming-u47-pts-changes-based-on-feedback

Bound Armaments having increased chance for Sundered wont fix it much though, especially when still max stam bonus is moved to Dark Magic passive.

That's why I said 85% :P Unfortunately, there was no mentioning of finally adressing my beloved Shadow skill line, where a lot of my supposed disappointment will stem from T-T
