Wasn't this supposed a simple maintenace with some very little bug resolved?
Update: We have identified the issue that was causing this, which was tied to one of the fixes that went into today's PC incremental patch. We are working on removing the necessary elements now. Please be aware it will take several hours to get everything fixed, tested, and completed; we will continue to provide updates in this thread as we have them.

It would be great if we all could still play offline and when servers went back up our progress could be uploaded.
Dungeons and other live events would not be allowed but crafting, home furnishing, skill building, etc. would be nice.
Update: At this time, we are estimating maintenance being completed by 4pm EDT/8pm UTC. We'll let you know if it looks like this may change as things continue to progress.

The game is like some digital form of Jenga and subsequently, because the patch wasn't fully tested, hundreds of thousands of players have nothing to do until (at least) 4pm Eastern time. I was saddened once again to arrive at my PC this morning and find that "computer says no"

Unfortunately this is not feasible because that would mean the client would be updating the server information and would be easily opened to various bad actors. Imagine a client sending information that 2 million dreugh wax was acquired while offline.
Sure, let me upload my entire gallery of Velothi paintings

So you're saying this is ripe forexploitation? Moving around furniture in your own home offline shouldn't be difficult.
Brilliant! I miss that show!zharkovian wrote: ». I was saddened once again to arrive at my PC this morning and find that "computer says no"

Maybe they could release a related game that draws some inspiration from ESO but doesn't really require you to be in the game. And then we could play that during down time.
Maybe a card game or something.
