Its a nice thing that was wanted for a long time but... what about ppl who will start playing after the events? Like its a really nice reward for housing but its in wrong place in my opinion.

I'm really happy that the housing community will have fairly easy access to this item.

However, I feel this item should be of the evergreen variety. Tying it to one specific set of events in one quarter will start to get very annoying once that event window is over and there is now zero access to a key housing component from that point on.

Now, they could give it the Indrik treatment and toss it up in the event merchant once a year, but still it would be annoying if you missed it.

I’m going to be an optimist here and have faith that ZOS will introduce other items that can change the time of a housing instance. It just might not be a unique and magical hourglass, ya know

Interesting. Guess I'll put it next to my outfit station so that I don't have to turn on the lamp at night to see my color previews lol.

I do think it's cool, but I'd rather have a new big house or area to build a house.

Players that start after this event might also want to use this for their house. It would be unfair if this is a one time only item, so I hope they will make it available for players that start later and I don't mean for crowns.

Oh that's a good point, if I put it next to the outfit station I'll be able to see how things look in daylight no matter what.

Now if only I could do something about the rain...

I hope it'll be in collections tab, so that we can put it in multiple houses. Also I wonder if it'll work in houses with fixed sky, like for example Grand Psijic Villa or Coldharbour Surreal Estate?

Wait, so there isn't going to be a house as the "biggest" reward for participating in all these events?

This can't possibly be the most significant rewards for earning event tickets for a whole year. ...no house, but a measly furnishing???

...no house, but a measly furnishing???

A measly furnishing that stops time in your house, so you can have an always-night Witches Cottage, or a perma-day Villa. It has a point.

Not if you don't care about housing it doesn't. It's aesthetics with no real function. At least with a house you can store stuff. But more than that, the issue is the "rewards" in this game keep getting worse and worse.

If you're into housing this may even be a better reward than a house. One of the top prizes they've given. If you're not, it is pretty underwhelming but we don't know what the Blackwood event prize will be.

I like the functionality of the furnishing a lot, but since this year we are not getting a house for the community event, and in this chapter they didn't include a house available for gold either (like they did for Leyawiin and Solitude) I hope they will add a house with a gold option later on.

I already have 150 group repair kits. I don't need another 150 group repair kits.

The rewards for participating in a series of events that spans for a year should be something WAY WAY more substantial than what is being offered. That's the point.

Some of us are happy about this. I have enough houses already (well, unless they offer the Tor Draioch mage tower or Erlibru's Cottage - both of which I would purchase for however many crowns....), but the ability to set time for the houses I have now is - wonderful!

I do have to say, unless ZOS's internal data shows that MOST players spend a lot of time in the housing interface.... this particular "reward" seems.... odd.

It's not really a year though, it's just that quarters prize. It's not like you need to have any of the other quarters unlocked to get this one.

I imagine they do have data shown exactly that. In my experience, while most players aren't into housing, most of them do have at least one house. But, they mostly use it as a storage locker/target dummy area and not super decorated. I would hope when they decided it they looked at who was getting real decorations and not just who used houses. Because a lot of folks use them without being into houses.

Well, I do myself. The inn rooms are extra teleports. I don't need them for anything otherwise - they're "landing platforms".

But even if ZOS has data that shows many people pick up the inn rooms.... well, they'd better have more info pertaining to actual time spent in housing, decorating - because while I personally LOVE this Q4 item (the only thing I will bother with for the second year aside from the pets) I may be a minority of - well, more than one, but not a HUGE amount.

You cannot get it yet. But when the next quarter's events starts (keep your eyes peeled on the events news page) you'll be able to buy the pieces to make it from the Event Impresario. What you can do now is start collecting the pieces for the soul fire dragon, as you'll need to morph it to get the furnishing.

The first fragment will be available from the Impressario via event tickets in this year's WItches Festival.
(see this week's PTS Patch Notes: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/613645/pts-patch-notes-v8-1-3 )
Once you have all of the fragments (over multiple events) you would use them to convert a Soulfire Dragon pet (also earned from "assembling" multiple fragments) into the Hourglass.
