    Made me chuckle!

Funny story: Last time I was in Cyro questing, I came out of a delve and found out that while I was inside, one of the other alliances had pretty much taken over 75% of the map, which included the area where I was standing. No worries, but it was going to be a long ride back to where I could transit anywhere. I figured that since I was now in enemy territory, I'd eventually run into someone who'd kill me, which I'd use as a form of fast travel. I didn't go looking for enemies (I would have ridden to the nearest battle), but I figured it wouldn't take long and I was hoping it would happen.

Spent another hour in Cyro and never ran into anyone. I ended up having to ride all the way back to friendly territory (doing stuff along the way, of course).

The first time I went into Cyro, I was sneaking around, I didn't have my bear out, I kept looking over my shoulder. But now when I'm in Cyro, my bear is out, I ride everywhere (including enemy territory), and I've been killed a total of one time (fair kill, not a weak PvPer preying on PvE players doing PvE stuff). As everyone has said, just stay away from the battle locations.

Ummm I did it without seeing anyone at all.

Why do people think that there's a nightblade behind every rock, inside every bush and up every tree in Cyrodiil?

They're not. And if you die, just ride back. You do know it doesn't delete your character, right?

Just go to one of the unpopulated campaigns. It's easy and risk free.

The thing to remember is that the Cyrodiil quests for PVP are generally of the form capture X, capture 9 Y, kill 40 nightblades. You don't get very many AP for standing around at a fishing hole all day hoping someone will turn up to be killed. So if you stay off the roads and routes between areas where there is fighting nobody has any reason to go there. The town quests are different because they are also in the PVP capture quests.
I can say, in hindsight, I'm confused as to why I ever even cared about this particular achievement in the first place. I don't even fish the new zones anymore. Watching reruns on TV is more productive.

So is listening to paint go dry 8)

Tips if you die the NPC at a keep or resource it count as an PvP kill and you can port to any keep or outpost your alliance hold.
If you die to fall damage or mob in an delve you can only respawn at location or wayshrine.

Same with scroll temple guards. So if your alliance has opened multiple scroll temple gates, port to the nearest keep. Then ride to the keep closest to the temple gate, you can not port here then trough the gate and up to the skyshard.
Now head up to the scroll temple and fight the guards, then you die you can now respawn at the other keep close to the temple gate. An even more advanced version if this is to use an resource held by the enemy for the initial port to save riding :)

And its very rare getting killed doing PvE in Cyrodil at least if you do it then your alliance has most of the map.
Remember one episode in an delve, I got the skyshard, then to kill the boss, started with endless hail and an enemy showed up he had been sneaking near the boss, he rolled out of the AoE and the killed the boss using ranged single target attacks then he went to get the skyshard.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

If you can just open your wallet to get it, then it's not much of an achievement, is it?

By your definition, "Master Angler" is a PvP Achievement. So if you don't like PvP at all, then you shouldn't care about getting it.

I don't like to PVP at all either. I still have master angler. Had it on two characters before AWC in fact.

Don't go asking ZOS to just give you an achievement in exchange for your money. That's just straight up self-depreciating.

Just buy some stealth pots or be a nightblade, be prepared with a knockback on your bar, knock someone back if they're attacking you and run away with your

Have two characters with each of the campaigns as their home one, check Cyrodil in the morning then some guilds tend to take the entire map and go.

Pesronally I got killed several times while fishing in Cyrodiil. Once it was quite convenient, as I ran out of bait just before, and it saved me a ride back to base, but most of the time it was a pain in the ass with having to ride all the way back to the fishing hole.

If you try this achievement on a character from any alliance other than AD, you will have a very long ride to the sea fishing spots, and you will be parked just outside AD gates.

Wonder if with the shared achievements nowadays you could split between a few alts from different alliances, though.

Group up with a friend or two in the same Alliance and go together.

When I did mine we got it all done in just a few hours, like 3 maybe, with a break in between. We never saw a soul except near one crossing and they were just interested in travelling to the pvp action and not even looking for us.

Dying in-game due to pvp is not a big deal, and costs you less than dying to pve mobs. So it's a bit inconvenient that you have to respawn elsewhere (or get revived by an alliance mate). It's not a big deal.

I'd be surprised OP if you encountered enemy players while fishing. Like others have pointed out, no one doing pvp cares about hunting down anyone fishing. They all want the fights on fortresses and such.
PC NA Yes, I use add-ons.

For those of us, like me, who won't ever be trifecta level in trials for whatever reasons, we should be able to purchase the Godslayer of Sunspire achievement with crowns. That way, we can get the Sunspire Champion senche mount without having to do the Sunspire trifecta at all.

No. It’s bad enough people sell carries for the hardest content without everyone having access to something deliberately designed to reward a groups hard work time and persistence.

Yes, I know. And if you look at the original post you'll see that mine is an intentional riff on it showing how ridiculous requests to be able to "buy achievements for crowns" is, because if they put Cyrodiil Angler on there for people who simply refuse to go into a PvP region, what's to stop other ludicrous requests for purchaseable achievements, like Godslayer of Sunspire?

In case it's still not clear, no, I don't think they should make any achievement buyable with crowns.

Cyro fishing is easy and most of ppl will ignore you or join. Really very small percentage [snip] will kill you just for few APs (or quest ok) cuz they think that you are "a free kill" ...
BUT everyone was there and got achieve so why to have it in store. In that case please for ALL achieve for crowns XD XD XD

Cyro is easy. IC is quite harder to fish there, cuz there are more [snip] here who will want to kill you because they think you'll have a million telvars with you XD XD XD

I dont pvp, but I did manage to do all the PVE stuff in Cyrodiil EXCEPT for fishing, only because fishing bores me to tears-Zzzzzz.
The only times I was attacked was doing quests in the settlements(Brauma, Cheydinhal etc..., was only a couple of times mind you, and once in a delve, other than that it was fine).
I never thought I would have done the delves, anchors, and gotten all the skyshards(particularly the ones in enemy territory), in Cyro, yet I did, now if I can somehow manage to make fishing interesting or fun(no clue how) I'll get the fish there too!

I once did all Cryodiil skyshards except the 4 behind enemy gates on one sitting. I saw only few other players and interacted with none. I'd assume fishing is about same. If you need to get out of Cryo and are far away at enemy territory queue to IC and walk out of exit. Also if you need to get out of IC que to Cryo and wayshrine out.

You can literally go for hours in Cyrodiil without ever seeing another player. Just look at your map, stay away from the structures and crossed swords. Also, fish at night wearing dark clothes and use a black mount without flashy effects. You can even crouch if you want to.

Also, there’s something wrong if a person is afraid of dying in a video game. You don’t lose experience or currency in ESO, unless you choose to play in Imperial City. And going there isn’t required for the Master Fisher achievement.

Not long ago i was fishing in Cyrodil, in a pool in a delve and an enemy player came in to do the delve, i thought i lord back to the shrine for me, but nope, he killed the boss, stopped and looked at me, then joined me fishing for an hour.

I've found that generally unless you're in the active areas near scrolls and towers Cyrodil is usually just like any pve zone, Unlike Imperial City where you can be jumped at any time out of the blue.

I get where you are coming from I don't play pvp much but I really don't agree with being able to buy achievements through the store I don't even like that fact you can buy skyshards lol.

I got master angler before account wide achievements were a thing and before the champion points changed. It's laborious but cyrodiil really wasn't that bad for fishing I never personally met another player fishing and I don't think I really ran into another faction. You can always pop on one of the low pop campaigns if you're able too. And not to mention the new cp perks will help speed it up (:

At least with the skyshards and the few skill lines you can unlock with crowns, you have to unlock them in-game on your own with at least one character, first.

Asking to unlock achievements with crowns, especially now that AwA is a thing, is asking them to remove ALL effort from the process.
Why even play the game if you don't want to put any effort at all into it?

I have done this achievement multiple times on different accounts Xbox/Pc etc. and if you sneak, you can literally go without seeing other players. There are better chances of dying by slaughter fish than other players.

EP imo is the hardest Alliance to get this achievement due to the majority of salt water fish in AD territory requiring you to cross over a bridge. I can see how it may be challenging with that respect. The other Alliances however especially AD have the advantage with this achievement. So if you have an AD toon this achievement will be a cake walk. If you are EP then pay close attention to the map and when EP is in control of AD territory which will make your journey to the Gate of Mnem much easier. The very first time I did this on Xbox I got a DC escort across the bridge from my guild mates, but then was hunted down by an AD player that chased me down on my mount lol. I then had to try again and just snuck across. Yes it was frustrating but hey, we got a good laugh. I had a maxed out mount and rapid maneuver so they had to chase me quite a ways.

I always go solo in my light Divines PVE gear, throw on some HIssimir Fish Eye Rye so I could easily see the fishing holes but most importantly it gives stamina recovery so it helps me sneak longer. Once you find your spots you could easily swap to the purple fishing food, along with the appropriate CP. You used to also be able to fish in sneak mode. Not sure if you can still do this or not. If the eye shows you are not in stealth then it may be the mudcrabs lol. If you kill them then it goes back into stealth. Just be careful of slaughter fish and dipping your toes in certain water! You could gear up in stealthy gear etc, but for me it would have been a waste of time swapping. I had some passives in Legerdemain and had on 1 piece of medium so I got some passive bonuses.

Regardless of what Alliance you are I would suggest doing salt water first and fish along the Gate of Mnem as there is lake, river and salt all along this area. Then once you achieve your salt water which is the hardest to get, then you can head to the other fishing areas. Foul is mostly around the middle of the map along the coast. I personally save this to the end as it literally is just running up and down the coast. Most PVP are paying attention to keeps, and towns etc. and not wasting their time scouting the vast territory for a potential fisher. They are busy reclaiming their territory so as long as you don't sneak right next to a keep or town under seige, chances are you will not run into people. Just keep watch on the map to see where the battles are.

When at the Gate of Mnem pay close attention to notifications when this Gate is open as you may be able to sneak inside and get the skyshards gated behind. I got most of my skyshards by just paying attention to these notifications and once the PVP opened the gate, I just piggybacked my way in. It was actually kind fun as once I helped escort a player into the gate on route for the scroll and I helped distract the guards for them.

Anyhow . I am a PVE player and the achievement can be done without even seeing another player or being killed. Worst case scenario, you get killed and just have to travel back to where you were. This is also why as an EP on my main, I tried to get the hardest salt water out of the way first, then the rest of the nodes are more plentiful and closer to your home bases. Since I have gotten this achievement on a few toons, I have helped other PVE go to Cyrodill and once they are there, they realize it isn't so bad after all for the fishing. The time spent getting that last trophy fish will be of more concern than other players in my experience anyways. Also those slaughter fish are more powerful than in PVE so watch out. They are viscous.

Have some great memories of getting the fishing achievements in Cyrodill, used to have a screenshot of myself (EP) and two other players from DC and AD just fishing next to each other and this went on for quite a while, cant find the screenshot now but a very wholesome memory. I do understand why people wouldn't like these 'go into a pvp area to do non pvp things' achievements though but really not a fan of adding achievements to store, seems to just destroy the point.
