Extended maintenance

I back to home from work, at 18PM, spend some time on "my own maintenance" and I planned play with my wife and killing something in Tamriel. And I see banner "extended" on maintenance. Ok no problem ... but why in time when a lot of people want spend time in game after hard day and get some relax ? Do this in the nights when people sleep !!!!

I’m an old MMO player… have played DAoC, EQ, EQ2, SQG, LotR, Aion, Warhammer Online, Rift, GW2 and ESO for 1-1/2 years. I have never seen maintenances like ESO in all my years. The biggest problem here is the total lack of communication from the Forum managers as to what is going on. Every time a maintenance is extended, it’s proper customer service to give customers a heads up on what’s going on. I’ve only seen that happen once here.

I think its just about having the transparency and making sure there is a line of communication if there are extensions, maybe possibly why there is as well.

It's true some people pay for ESO Plus and thus are paying customers, so in essence they would have a right to know whats going on at certain points.

Did the give a reason for the extended maintenance? They sometimes make a note in the forums if a maintenance unexpectedly runs longer.

And usually the maintenances are done DURING the night, not during the peak hours (EU)...

Zero communication. Zenimax, this is ridiculous! Say something or at least let us know if there's another extended offline time.

that is the issue for most, not that we mind the extended downtime, just that we would like to know why...
there is no communication as normal

At this point, the only excuse i'd accept for having such a long maintenance would be that they had to fully replace all servers as they did with PC NA .

With this long a period with no update, my guess is that everyone on the ZOS side is running around like headless chickens. This is a little... concerning. It may indicate a major problem. These things DO happen sometimes when you take down or do maintenance on a complex system.

If theres ever a tuesdsy maintenance then do bids a day early. Honestly its burned the trader bids and flips far too often. Maintenance usually announced friday night on here.

I have to admit, Of all the mmo's i have played over the years...This one has by far the worst customer Service in terms of communication.

Maintenance is Maintenance and it happens..but to keep your paying customer's in the dark just displays contempt towards them.
