Randomly logged out of the Forums

I had the forums open in the background as I was playing today, which I do quite often. I tabbed out of the game to take a look at something and noticed I had been logged out of the forums. I didn't log myself out and was very surprised to see this.

This isn't the first time this has happened, although it is pretty rare. What is causing this?

Forum will log you out after a number of days. Might be cookie lifespan.

As mentioned above, the most likely reasons you've gotten logged out is because the browser cookie for the forums expired or got reset in some way.
