Error 326, my character is locked twice in 1 month

First, 14 march 2022, booted from the battleground, then locked for 1 day before support unlocked my main
Now, 3 April 2022, booted when I'm running from wayshrine to diamond victory crafting station in Blackwood

So why did this happen? I'm rarely chatting or interact with other players, no offensive behavior toward other people too. Mostly I'm soloing the game content and I don't care what people do. Is ZOS using a bot or automated system to do this? so people randomly kicked and locked without any reason?

    Here is more info about your problem:

    "There may be rare instances where you could get booted from the game with Error 326 and unable to log back into that character. If you run into this issue, please submit a ticket at account.elderscrollsonline.com."

    I received one today on one of my characters. I submitted a ticket. Ticket number is 220402-005887. Didn't receive an email saying they receive the ticket though. It's been 7 hours now.

    I'm playing on PC/NA, In my opinion, 2 times in a month that's not rare

    2 of my guildmates facing the same problem like this, booted, locked. One in the middle of boss fights, one when doing nothing

    When this thing happens for the first time, support does not explain the cause of the error. So there is a big chance in the future my character will get randomly locked again. Yeah, I agree, this sounds worrying

    I dunno, maybe I need to reconsider playing this game. I mean I don't want to lose my time and money by playing a game that locked their customer toons randomly with no reason

    When I get this error for the first time, my character is unlocked after 18 - 20 hours, but I read that some people get unlocked after a days and weeks.

    Don't lock my thread if you guys from ZOS cannot explain why you guys lock my character.

    Lol, I kinda regret pre-ordering the high isle, if small updates like this cause many errors, maybe the bigger updates will cause more problem

    They're only locking duplicate threads in order to concentrate all such reports in one place. That's easily avoided by posting a report on an existing thread rather than creating a new one.

    • There is a specific reason?
    • How to avoid this kind of error/ban/locking?
    • Is there any possibility this problem leads to a bigger problem? let's say locked forever or destroying character data that makes the character unplayable or something like that?

    Locked twice in one month is a clear sign if this can happen again anytime in the future, randomly, even right after the character unlocked

    It's a bug, and they're working on a permanent fix.

    I hope so, after researching I can see a post from 2015 with error 326 problems, 7 years bug.

    Hopefully it will get resolved early in the working week, Customer Support don't work at weekends as I understand it.

    my character was locked too. it was a new character, so after waiting for over 24 hours without zos unlocking it, i deleted and recreated it

    Lucky you, unfortunately, my character is level 50 CP915. I'm playing this toon since 2019 and this is the only character I have, unlocking all the skyshard, armory slots, mount stats, outfit slots, antiquities, golds etc

    I never play multi-characters in any games, online or offline. So deleting my characters will not solve my problem

    Yes I can create a new one, level 1 toon with CP 915, but I don't want to start everything from the start and spend time and money to unlock something that I already have

    They replied a few hours ago, only asking for screenshots even though I'm already attached the data from gameconsultans. They don't explain why they locked my toon or unlocked my toon

    So yeah no progress, maybe the agent that handles my problem doesn't know how to unlock my toon and has zero clue why this error happens or maybe they are just another bots, who knows

    My toon unlocked, but ZOS/ESO team won't tell me what happen or answer my questions. So for all of you if get error 326 what you can do is only wait for ESO/ZOS customer services to unlock your toons that are locked by them. No explanation, no transparency, nothing, just accept everything like you accepting your religion

    My guildmates had no luck, his toon locked from Saturday, and still no progress until now. So everything is random, just like opening the crown crates, you randomly booted and locked, then you randomly get answers from ZOS

    There's no conspiracy, it's a bug.

    Regarding your separate post about your friend who's been waiting 2 days since Saturday, make sure that he has replied to any response from ZOS or the case will be assumed to be resolved, and make sure he doesn't submit another ticket or it will place his case at the back of the queue.
