Even the "Back" button doesn't work properly with this enabled on the forum. This behaviour also doesn't occur on any other forum I use, only on this one.

This seems to be getting worse. Now, I can be reading a paragraph in the middle of the page and it suddenly jumps to the bottom. Very disconcerting and annoying.

    Yep, noticed it too.

The other thing that changed recently is that the formating for italics is breaking the lines.

If I italicize "cat", the sentence looks like this.

If I italicize "cat", the sentence looks like this.

But what happens if you italicize "dog"?

I mean, cats never stay in one place when you want them to. :)

Hey all. We are looking into the issue with the page scrolling down, as that is not working as intended. It seems to be an odd Vanilla. But we will circle back with them to investigate why this is happening.
@ZOS_Kevin : any update on this ? It's still occurring and makes the forum a nuisance to navigate through.

It's still occurring. This really needs to be fixed, because web pages aren't supposed to behave this way. @ZOS_Kevin any update on this, please ?

There's no update because vanilla is a crap forum backend. The only way it will get fixed is if vanilla fixes it. Since it's a couple years on now, if they could have fixed it they would have. Since they haven't, obviously they haven't a clue how to do so.

Which is why I migrated my own "game friends of many years standing" forum to phpBB3 long long back now. Vanilla sucks - the forum software, NOT the flavoring! (There is NO SUCH THING as too much vanilla flavoring....)

It's still the same problem though. It's not as if the problem has gone away - it hasn't. So resurrecting this thread isn't really a bad thing.

Though yeah - it will probably eventually get closed. *sigh*

@ZOS_Kevin , apologies for tagging you again, but will this problem be fixed? It makes navigating threads a bit of a nuisance at times.

and it's still just as relevant as the day it was created, so this is definitely one case where it's perfectly justified to keep the thread open.

@ZOS_Kevin , any update on this? It makes navigating into then out of threads really inconvenient, because the web browser's 'back' button just doesn't work like it's supposed to. Except it's not the web browser at fault, it's the forum site.

Someone PLEASE fix this annoying problem. No other forum on the internet behaves like this, only this one. And to the thread doubters: yes, this thread is still very much relevant and the issue never vanished.

I'm convinced it's something on vanilla's end. I don't see it very often here (PC Chrome), but there's another forum I stop by once in a while (not game related), and it ALWAYS happens there.
