well I got it working no thanks to support. I wiped my hd and installed a fresh copy of windows with no other apps or drivers. I will slowly add my apps back in to find what/when ESO decided to have issues with.

Please let us know what you find. I've done about everything short of wiping and reinstalling as that would be very time consuming to put everything back the way it was. And since everything else works fine, I'm probably not going to.

Yep……still can’t get in game. I’m so sad. I’m letting down my guild. Can’t bid on traders. Can’t host my weekly events. This is awful.

    UPDATE FIXED:
Documents - Elder Scrolls Online - live - UserSettings
    * The file was there, but when I went to open it an error message (about syncing to OneDrive)
    Synced it and it works.

... what does OneDrive have to do with launching the game?????????????
(Red Dead 2, WoW, Trine - you name it... works - but Zeni wants requires OneDRIVEsync in the live folder with UserSettings? Does not make sense)

Maybe this will help someone... seems like a million things are causing the same type of issue for people though.

    Thanks for the read!

    ....................
Bought my daughter the game today...
Works fine for her - but, it was already installed on the computer she was using. (She just logged into her account)

Downloaded ESO on my new computer - and its now 4:30am and still cant get it to launch.
    Started hours ago.

    Everything has been tried...
sent my reports into customer service... not expecting any grand answers, as there are non here or on any of the threads.

One thread got shut down as 1 person got it to work, and as the reply said below them (before it was closed), something to the tune of "yeah, you were 1 person that could get it to work with that method)
    * point is, thread maybe should have been left open, or linked here.

Fresh install, through STEAM, and whatever has been mentioned here or elsewhere about firewalls, network adapters, etc.has been tried.

Whats up ZENI? Seriously - havent played in ages, buy the game for my daughter - and I cant get my own copy to launch! :expressionless:

All other steam games run fine... from Red Dead to non-steam games like WoW, etc.
Why is it ESO that welcomes me back with it not launching? (Was gonna buy the updated expansion...
... not sure why to bother if I cant open it?

1: It was downloaded with no issues
2: Hit play in steam and ESO launcher comes up, updates and ready to go.
    (yes even did repairs, etc)
3: Launch game from the official launcher and... well, when the screen should go black, etc.
nothin happens - (same each time)
    * yes tried launching the game outside of steam as well, rebooting a million times, etc. :pensive:

If this issue has been going on since the 31st of Oct, what chance do we have of a fix

yes, updated all drivers - especially Nvidia - on Windows 10 with the latest of latest updates.
(just not the optional one to preview)

If i seem a bit upset... well, yeah - like I said, nice welcome back.
Should have installed it on my new computer first to make sure it ran before buying a copy for my daughter.
    Anyway...
