I’m not a werewolf but I do completely support customisation… however, maybe not the bit where you can stay in form when not in combat…but maybe stay in form when it’s full moon?

Well PvP there are strong vampire builds, and they are not even necessarily vampire builds, it's the added utility and passives along with your weapon and class abilities.

They should let us choose the werebeast we turn into. Why do werewolves get all the attention? Maybe I want to be a were-lion.

I would like to see base werewolf form be a toggle, with the ult working similar to vamp ult and allow you to turn into a werewolf behemoth. An alternative to that could be something similar to that one polymorph you can buy in crown store (I'm blanking on the name but it makes you look halfway transformed and reflects your race choice. In addition having the ability to customize your wolf form either having a dedicated way to change it, or have it influenced by hair style options on human form would be nice as well. I would also love the ability to choose what kind of lycanthrope we turn into but I suspect something that in depth would take more effort than ZOS would see a return for. At the very least it would be nice if your race choice affected what your wolf form looked like.

I agree with this. However, I would also suggest that WW form is the ultimate and offering customization of the appearance of the form would mean players would suggest being able to change the appearance of other ults and skills. We know this because it already happened after Zenimax provided a skin for the Warden bear.

    This.

    Wereboars.
    Werebears.
    Were-vultures (Werebirds).
    Werelions (Werecats).
    Werebats.
    Were-crocs (Werelizards).
    Were-sharks (Werefish).
    Wererats (not in lore).

And it would be lore-friendly: https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Lycanthropy

While I would like to see Vampires fixed, too, I view that as much of a completely separate issue as I do my desire for a Lich skill line, per Dragon Priests.

Been wanting some way to play werewolf behemoth outside of the dungeon since the first pts day. This would be a good secondary way to achieve that. Also adding more customization to werewolf would be really nice since players all look the same unlike vampires.

And if he does, that is completely fine! for everyone to be able to play as the werewolf they like

behemoth and ugly anorexic half bald skins can coexist haha

Eh, I couldn't care less about werewolf customization. I'm more concerned about the fact that it's hardly a utilized mechanic outside of a few niche builds.

I'd be FAR more interested in them revisiting the werewolf/vampire mechanics and giving them some love to support some synergy with popular builds.

I don't play a WW or a Vamp, but I'm always in favor of more customization for players.

If they made it so that your fur color as a WW was the same as your hair color of your character, that would be cool.

But, I play DCUO, and they have an ability for characters with their Nature power set which allows you control over plants and animals. One of the abilities is that you can turn into a gorilla, and there is a part of the game where players without the power get transformed as well to complete a mission.

Anyhow, they way they do it in that game is that whatever colors you choose for the primary colors of your costume are what colors your gorilla form will be. So, if your costume is green and purple for example, your gorilla form is also going to be those colors.

So, yeah, if they did something similar here, we'd have a bunch of rainbow colored were-wolves running around. LOL!

the idea of having your beast form appearance tied on your own sounds like easiest solution i suppose, but it'd still be nice to have some sort of control

for instance someone has red hair and blue eyes, but they'd rather prefer for their werewolf to look different, with grey fur and white eyes

if this happens however, maybe have player body type also have effect
if you are muscular = muscular wolf
if you are skinny = skinny wolf
if you fat = CHONKY WOLF 🤣

Tbh. Whenever I hear that idea of yet another WW re-work - I am super worried. Because every time WW received a buff or qol change - it was followed by a massive nerfs. Either because of a very specific build in PvP or a very specific PvE trial.

What I mean is I would rather keep current WW as it is, so it is at least useful in a couple of underperforming niches vs making it good in more "main stream" stuff and see it nuked with nerfs from the orbit a patch later.

Vampire on the other hand could use a tiny buff / qol change here & there.

As for the WW customization - it should be a thing. Different skins, different models, WW apperal minor / major adornments and even different were-creatures (altering visuals, animations & sound set) would be very welcome, even as a crown store only stuff.

Yeah, crown store collectables for werewolves/vampires sounds good 👍 but as some have mentioned here, the mechanics could use overhaul/update too first

and also hopefully there'll be some sort of solution to stay in form outside combat for roleplaying, fun and screenshots, cant really enjoy enjoy the customization when the form turns off pretty quickly after fighting

i feel like Werewolves and Vampires have not reached their full potential in Elder Scrolls Online, and the whole system could be much deeper

It would be cool, yes! I think both Werewolf, Vamp, and pet skins should be available to earn through achievements or even if it was sold in the CS I would grab them up. This has been a long time ask I think ZOS should implement.

It's difficult to say why anyone wouldn't want more customization options—the poll feels a little skewed in that regard LOL. I would love more customization options for Werewolves! They're one of my favorite things to play in the Elder Scrolls games. However, I feel it's very unlikely that we'll ever see more than one or two alternate skins (if any) for werewolves for the same reason we won't see many sorcerer/warden pet skins coming our way.

Since it's not a cosmetic that can apply to everyone, it would be a waste of time and resources in terms of monetary gain. If you release a skin for a sorcerer pet, what happens if a player doesn't have a sorcerer? There would be no reason for them to buy it—and out of those who do have a sorcerer, it's not a guarantee that every sorcerer is going to buy the skin. So you're already creating a cosmetic that's specific to a fraction of the player base, and then you're relying on a fraction of that fraction to actually buy it. The same logic applies to Warden pet skins, and unfortunately, werewolf skins.

While Werewolves would be a far more accessible market (since every class/character can be a werewolf) to pitch this to, only a certain percentage of the player base are werewolves, so they would still ultimately be creating and selling a skin to a fraction of a fraction within the player base. :')

We can dream, though. Maybe they'll release a one-off skin as part of an achievement, or as part as a future Werewolf-themed Chapter/DLC collector's item as they did for the Warden bear. Here's to hoping.

Which is why absolute profit gain is not and most likely won't be the motive for this. It's hey people who play this really enjoy it, and they are requesting an aesthetic upgrade, a way to personalize the look a little more. No big sales pitch needed, this is being requested by players anyway.

An argument could be made that a little attention to the aesthetic of player werewolves would make even more people want to have that skill line. Fun to play and looks cool is the name of the game for many.

hmm, good point. but wouldnt it be likely that if Werewolves get new fun stuff, people would definitely buy the skill line more? especially if you have the option to stay in combat outside form, being able to run around with your own personalized badass beast character, and when others see you, why wouldnt they want the same? xd

oooor, you could also maybe have lycanthropy completely available for all players. Remove the skill line from crown store and have it instead obtainable through gameplay/quest, and bite still of course. And then, start selling cosmetics for that skill line through crown store

of course it isnt that simple and im just throwing something quick here, but im certain, that there is way to make werewolves better, more fun, customizable, while at same time remaining profitable

    Yes.

    HARD YES.

Frankly, if you have an alternate for like a Vampire, werewolf, or necromancer, they SHOULD allow you to choose options for these forms. I would love to full-on customize these things but Zos ain't gonna add new or better customization options.

The best part of this would be VERY lore-friendly, though, as it would be nice to add other were forms, like the werebear, Large werecats for the Khajiit, or lizard behemoths for Argonians, etc. It would also be a great addition just because it would allow for Wardens to have things other than bears, like wolves and such. It NEEDS to happen [snip]
