But yeah, I imagine this will all just be ignored in future TES games. I even heard someone mention that ESO is in a "parallell universe" or some such. That would, in a way make sense. What with the whole "no one has seen dragons for thousands of years" in Skyrim, when they were very much seen in Elsweyr mere centuries ago... Also with the whole oblivion crisis lacking many of the tell-tale signs from Blackwood.

I see no indication that TES 6 will ignore ESO. My impression is the opposite, actually. ESO has created a ton of backstory for TES 6. Part of the fun of TES 6 will be to see how the events of 2E582 are remembered and documented. Having "been there when it happened", it should be interesting to see how the narrative changed over hundreds of years.

I'm expecting a few Easter eggs here and there if TES 6 comes after Skyrim. Maybe some expansion on the lore explored in ESO without much reference to the events.

I doubt we'll see much more than that because there's really no accounting for how none of ESO's events impacted the 3rd Era at all, but suddenly is super impactful in the 4th Era+.

To be fair, different periods of history can become more relevant/known to the general public at different times. Books about the ESO events may not have appeared in previous TES games for real life reasons but that doesn't mean books or knowledge of said events don't exist in future eras. The MC we play as may simply never came across said books.

It's not as if most people are historians who know the entirety of the last few thousand years of history. In fiction or real life. If I were to ask the average Joe to name 10 notable historical events from 600 years ago, I imagine very few would have any answers. But that doesn't mean knowledge of events 600 years ago isn't known at all.

Perhaps something in TES 6 will spike more interest in Tamriel's inhabitants regarding the events that occur in ESO.

It is getting to be a bit much. The more they add the world ending threats every year the more ridiculous the idea becomes that its all happening in the same year.

Some of the content can be explained as happening simultaneously if the Vestige wasn't involved in everything. But as they tack on big bad threat after big bad threat. It just doesnt really add up. At this point its hands down the worst year in all of Tamriels history. Bethesda is going to have their hands full trying to make sense of 2E 582 if they ever decide to add this lore to future SP games.
