Yup, I agree it was a bit early to say thanks but the speed of fixing this bug for ZOS is great anyway. Despite the minor stumbles this time ZOS deserves praise.
7 hours to fix one bug that they didn't even fix ....
We've set the bar far too low for this company that milks us for all this money 🙄
Yes I agree, but having six months in perspective with an absolutely OP set like Undertaker meant about as much as unplayable PvP for that time. So far ZOS has repeatedly shown that such a time is the absolute minimum to fix something that is totally broken, hence my positive reaction because compared to their usual response time this one is almost instant.
I'm the last person to praise ZOS (check my post history if you don't believe me) but sometimes a few words of approval doesn't hurt when you see a change for the better. It doesn't mean it's already perfect or acceptable, but the changes are moving in the right direction and that should be appreciated.
Just like with someone who is working on their fitness. You can't criticize him because he can only run 100m, but he works on it, tries to improve it, such a person deserves encouragement and praise, not criticism "because you are not good enough". What matters is the right direction, not whether someone has already achieved a goal.

To use your example, this is like watching someone work out then praising them for eating two pizzas after.
I agree, praise should be given...when it's earned. This is pathetic though.
Maybe next time hold off on the praise until it actually shows results.
Direction is meaningless if you don't reach the goal in a industry that demands player money to be successful.

You're taking the wrong approach to this. You expect immediate results that you think should be seen immediately here and now. We have a saying in my country "he who does nothing is never wrong". They try, they try. They could have put off the fix until the next maintenance, or the next DLC. Even after this failed attempt they could have concluded that why should we rush, let's do it next week. Excessive criticism is not good either, because at some point you become a claiming "Karen" who deserves everything here and now at its best for free!
A huge thanks for finishing the maintenance so quickly today
