Does ZOS need to implement more storage/inventory space?

Yes, by the Nine! I'm bursting! Give me more inventory, bank, and storage containers!
Thank you everyone for sharing your opinions in a constructive manner :) I was very happy to wake up today to not see this board locked by ZOS or edited by ZOS. I'm happy when the community can talk about issues in an appropriate way.

No, other things need their attention.
No. People are just bad with inventory management.

There are 600 slots for bank and chests available, plus 200 for each Toon with bagupgrades and horse training.

That makes a 2400 per account and you haven't even spend a single crown...

That sounds like a lot in just raw numbers, but in practice it sure doesn't feel like as much. Not when you have to account for...

    - 14 gear slots
    - 837 different Sets (made up number, because there are so many I'm not going to count them all)
    - 1 to 3 desirable Traits (depending on the set, PvP viability, etc)
    - various supplies (like food, potions/poisons, lockpicks, soul gems, etc.)
    - crafting whatnots (motifs, writs, surveys)
    - stolen items (pickpocketing & stealing items can fill up an inventory very quickly)
    - random stuff you pick up during normal play
    - any furniture you may not have taken the time to place or stash yet
    - STUPID FREAKING GOLD STYLE PAGES, because somehow it took ZOS literal years to realize that being able to transfer them around without jumping through hoops might actually be a good idea...
    - and any other miscellaneous items I forgot to mention, of which there are plenty

AND that's all just stuff that everyone has to deal with. If you don't have the Craft Bag from ESO+, your life gets even harder with all the crafting materials type stuff -- and there's a LOT of that stuff!

Sure, it can all be handled with diligent inventory management practices, but personally I'd rather spend less time playing Inventory Manager Simulator 2021 and more time playing the actually enjoyable parts of the game. Seems to me that having to *** around with inventory issues is alleviated somewhat by having more space. So I'd like more, please!

    Other, elaborate:
I'm in favor of more inventory but not hurting for it, my biggest complaint is all the scrolling down and down....and down some more, to get to what I need. Using the bank particularly but even in my character inventory, a few tabs would be great.

Unfortunately, at some point you'll run into performance issues because of all the data that needs to be stored. This is why they have caps on storage to begin with.

I do wish instead of storing your gear in a bank that instead we had a "closet" (who stores their clothes in a bank anyway? :/). Each time you logged off all the gear your character is wearing would be automatically returned to the closet. That way all your gear would always be available to each character you log on as. When you log back in, the gear you were wearing at log off would be pulled from the closet and worn again.

Can't even tell you how many times I've been annoyed because I need one piece of gear that I just happened to leave in another character's inventory. So to get it, I have log off, log back in on the other toon, put the piece in the bank, log off, log back in, go to the bank, and get the piece out of the bank. Drives me nuts sometimes.

I don't know if we need more storage, but a smarter storage system would be helpful.

Again hiding behind “performance” isn’t valid for an excuse for the lack of inventory space

Its kept tedious on purpose so ZOS can sell you the solution
