Performance in Cyrodiil

I don't know what you guys did but performance last night in Ravenwatch was amazing. Even during zerg vs zerg warfare it ran great, for me anyway. Hopefully this wasn't just a fluke or some gift from the lag gods. This made is way more fun and I didn't even care about the lack of sets. The ring of the wild hunt was what hurt the most[snip]. Of course it will be nice to start seeing some sets return to the battlefield but after being reviewed and tuned as needed. With the game running as smooth as it did last night this is a good time to get some pvp in. I know I've been saying a lot of things about my displeasure over the no-proc ruleset so I wanted to say something positive since it was pretty impactful, at least to me anyway.
Anyone else experience performance differently since? Maybe they lowered the cap, who knows but we had plenty of players to fight.

It was zerg vs zerg though, I was surprised it ran so well. Campaign was at 3 bars each faction for a while also. I don't know maybe its too early to tell but I've never seen it run so good with that many players fighting in one area before.

I had the exact opposite experience.... I was able to use potions, bar swap, mount without sliding along the ground, and even break free without issue.
There was some skill delay and missing light attacks, but overall it felt great.

Has ran nearly perfectly the last 2 nights for me👏👍.

I am enjoying no procs more and more. I hope they slowly introduce the conditional stat sets back into cyrodill. I am really enjoying things as they are for the time being though👍

Our Stamblades have reported that they felt stronger than they were expecting, probably due to the fact that they could actually use and cancel some skills. Yesterday, though, the first Dizzies stopped working again :(

Whatever they did during the maintanace today broke it again, it was running so smoothie. But hey, we got 1 day with nice performance, lets hope we get it again in a few years.

Biggest fight I've seen in the last ten days on PC EU was 20v20 - at most. Runs fantastically, obviously, but depressing as hell.

    Hello.

Most people are busy grinding CP because we had our earned XP and power cut in half in one of the sleaziest moves out of ZOS in a few years.

This has nothing to do with proc sets being disabled.

It's been empty for ten days, minimum. The new CP levels have been unlocked for only three days. It's definitely a little of column A and a little of column B here.

Cyrodiil had more people than ever in it during the test and runned like ***, now its still 3 times poplocked and some people sticked around after the tests, there is still 50v50v50 fights and it doesn't lag at all. YOur Framerate dies faster than your latency, which is brilliant. There is no random lagspikes, there is no random Desynch from Snipes or similar overall PvP runs the best since well a long long time. I even doubt Morrowind runned that well.

Overall the PvP is a better experience as well, its insanely fast, there is no Procs, there is nothing you can't kill. Damage is much higher than before since all the passive defensives of CP got hit hard. YOu finally need to decide if you want to deal damage or tank, because for both you need the active stars which are limited to 4 in all the trees.
Magsorcs and Stamblades overperform like crazy, but both can be outplayed, you might not catch them to kill, but you can survive them.
You need to watch your positioning use the LoS which finally does work properly again since you don't position desynch anymore and if you make a mistake you get punished, its absolutely brilliant.

CP is a crutch, you shouldnt have to rely on it...
(Jokes, i wish they had handled the cp change better also)

Anyways he said he was in ravenwatch, so no cp, with people who dont care about grinding cp, so probably as busy as ever.

While PTS is running and populated, PvP is always full of lag. They share resources.

How does the PTS server in America share resources with a server in Germany? There is no logic to this statement. Correlation is not necessarily causation.

Grey Host yesterday and today are absolutely awful. Did they do anything different in the past 2 or 3 days?

I've crashed 8 times tonight in 2 1/2 hours. Cannot approach any keep with a fight going on without crashing. I guess I could just hang out on Harlun's porch all night by myself but that would get old.

Got timed out at a hammer fight today.

I was running around in superspeed mode, while everybody else was frozen in place. I could run up to enemy players, stare them in the face, study their outfits, etc. Ran all around the keep while there were enemies and allies in stop motion suspension. This isn't the first time this has happened, either. And it's almost always when Volendrung is nearby.

After about a minute of running around while everyone else was doing statue imitations, I got kicked to the red error screen, and it said "An unknown error occurred. Try again later" or something like that.

For me, PVP is much more smooth now even though we see some 50 vs 50 fights on the keeps. Numbers seem to be up as well despite double AP being gone. The other factions have lost some numbers but that is usual in a campaign where there is a clear leader in the overall warscore and a short amount of time until next campaign.

Theres a lot of very mixed feedback, at first people over exaggerated the benefits of the no proc set test because of how much they liked no procs, now people are claiming that performance is worse, most likely as some alternative complaint about not having access to proc sets.

people are saying lag is increased because lag has increased during the restrictions.

Yes, ZOS stated that performance was slightly worse during the no proc test. Certainly different systems may respond differently to changed variables.... but I would say ZOS is more of an authority on how their game is performing than we are.

If you ever wonder why they don't listen to player feedback, that's probably it. Internet culture is saturated with the belief if you insist on something loudly and consistently, you can create the reality you want. Or at least bully others into the let's-pretend you want.

Imagine sifting through pages of that for honest feedback, every patch, every change. I bet I'd prefer numbers and spreadsheets, too.

It was incredibly better the first week. Then people started to PvE seriously once again and now the lag is bag, nearly as strong as prepatch on primetime EU.

    Sad panda here. :(

I hope Microsoft will bring in some serious hardware upgrade. Because this seems to be related to global server performance and not Cyrodiil only.
