The current leaderboards, and especially the trial scores are worrying me, and will become unbeatable with the next update. I think zos should (if even possible, and maybe with the exception of arenas) rework the entire score system into an easy-to-understand standardization. Not only is it NOT FUN to have unbeatable scores to thrive for and beat, but also from a "spectator" p.o.v seing a 250k+ score in KA and SS, and 150k+ in vAA, 170k+ in vSO 135k+ in Cloudrest etc. is not exactly ideal, and for newcomers seing these different numbers will not easily tell them whats good, and whats not.
Of course the problem arise: All trials are vastly different, have different times, different mechanics, they even have different number of hardmodes. So it will not be easy. But i believe its possible and from a gameplay perspective, its worth it.
But the biggest issue right now is what i first wrote that the current scores are unbeatable. Now, please dont go increasing dps by adding new OP sets or skills (OR CLASSES). Higher dps (although nice) IS NOT what the game needs anymore. But with the removal of Thrassians (TS) and blood for blood (bfb) i just dont see any way, anyone can beat the current scores. And that is not fun at all.
I actually thought the same when dragonhold launched, (some of you may remember the extreme nerfs) but somehow new WRs was set. But now players have truly abused TS and BfB to their limit, setting immensely high scores across all trials. and if nothing else, perhaps just a hard reset of the scores themself, or maybe adding an official WR listing, that would combine NA, and EU, only showing the highest for each trial would be nice and would create some well needed excitement into doing score runs
