Animal Pens

I've got ever housing vendor, searched the usual sites and it seems there is no fencing to keep livestock in. You see such pens all over the world but I can't find where you can buy or craft them.

I have a simple pig, goat, and chicken that needs a home guys.

I agree, we need some livestock cages. We have people cages.


And, we need animals that move around, and, well, do animal things like forage.

It's fairly easy to make fencing for an animal pen with existing materials, since many styles have related fences and structural items. I know building custom fencing runs into the item slot issue, but it's better than nothing.

Pick a style for your enclosure. Then use items with that style to create your boundaries (for a simple 4 sided enclosure this won't even need that many items). You can use structural items like the Argonian Lattice, fences sunk into the ground to match an animal height, posts with crossbeams, wall sections, tents with planks for a door, etc.




I understand the frustration of not finding the perfect item for a purpose, but there are a lot of other furniture that are lacking rather than making more fencing specifically for animals. *cough weapons cough instruments cough* ZOS, pls

Yeah I used the item from the second picture before posting. I just wish I didn't have to use 4 furnishing slots.

I did the same for a stable at my sugar meadow, it does suck having to use the slots but for now i guess these isnt much we can do.

I use the Reachman Cage, Sturdy furnishing, and flip it upside down, then sink most of it into the ground. It gives me a nice square pen with spiked fence posts to keep predators out. (And my pigs in!)

I was just browsing the Crown store and noticed a new fence - Redguard Wooden Fence for sale! It is wooden fence and very nice. It's listed as a 'large house' item so I don't know how big it would be but it would be perfect to make an animal pen. I've never seen it in the furnishings before and it is listed as 'new'.

There are some included in the new Thieves Oasis home if you buy it. You can preview the house for a couple of more days.... it's the wooden rail fencing with brass accents up on the second level.
