Undaunted Event – Activity Finder Feedback

PS4 / NA, both yesterday and today, I queued solo as healer, got a PUG in less that 2 minutes for one of the Undaunted dailies, finished the dungeon/quest quickly and got event tickets, event motif, and DLC dungeon motif. Yesterday also queued another character solo as DPS for one of the Undaunted dailies, got a PUG in about 15 minutes, finished the dungeon/quest and got Undaunted Plunder. So far I think this event is going well, and the group finder is working for me.

We’ve repeatedly seen an issue where queueing with a full group succeeds the first time but fails the second (after a successful first run). Can be worked around by disbanding/reforming.

PC NA, lots of runs over 10 hours with people dropping in and out of the group.

Queued 6 time this afternoon (between 3:30 and 5:30 CET) , on the same char, as DD, for specific vet dungeons.
It within a few min each time, very smooth
Only glitch was one time we requeued as a full group, we had to change leader for the dungeon to pop. Did it with another group and had no pbm that time.

Detailed summary of the issue:
Time it takes for a healer to get a party during this event is strangely long. on EU side at least.
Crashed to log in in both dungeons after huge lag spike.

Were you queuing solo or with other people?:
Solo que both times.

What took place prior to the issue? (possible ways to reproduce the issue):
I logged in to the game.

NA side:
So while on my level 15 vampire healer (I like the irony) I got a fast pop of the que, despite queing for a specific dungeon, as opposed to just choosing random. Dungeon run went ok, it was 3 people around 10 - 20 level range and a cp 200+ that i think obviously picked random and got stuck with us lowbie. but it all went fine. It was a normal dungeon so nothing terribly dangerous if you pay attention.
At the end boss i got a huge lag spike that kicked me to log in. then error 304, already logged in. so i logged to EU side, then back to NA, to force the system. Which worked. And luckily i arrived just before end boss death, got my tickets just fine.

EU side:
My breton healer CP 300+
It took at least 15 minutes despite it being eu prime time. Was again queuing for specific dungeon, but it was a pledge today so should have been faster pop.
Again huge lag spike in dungeon, thankfully not at end boss this time, did crash to login. No error 304 this time.
No lag after relogin though. Could finish dungeon fine and get my tickets.

Single player L11 dd. Queued for normal random.

25 minute wait nBC1, with tank, healer and another dd of roughly similar levels (L16 - L40).

Usual lengthy Forming Group period. But it worked.

Ultimately it still feels a bit wonky, but way better than at launch of Update 24.

Aside: there is almost no incentive to do more than 1 dungeon a day. Not even this L11 thinks that 1 Undaunted key or a transmute Crystal is worth writing home for. He can earn more, faster doing baby writs. So much for stress testing.

So I queued for random dungeon 3 times , 2 different chars; Scalecaller Peak all three times??

Couldn't find any information that the random dungeon was disabled so Bug or uninformed feature??

It happened to me a few months ago, 3 scalecaller peak in a row, just bad RNG i guess

When the event started we couldn't get into a dungeon with a premade group, we had to port in.
Today I tried a few vet dungeons with my DD. Between 6-9PM I got into a dungeon in an average of 8-10 minutes.
After 11PM I tried 3 dungeons and could get in 2 minutes each.

since yesterday until whole day today: solid.

solo i waited between 2 - 7 min.
with 3 people i waited 2 - 5 min.
with 4 people it was instant.

each scenario roughly 4 - 5x.

PC NA.

no crash. no lag.

Was in group in 10 minutes on our way. My peave is the one player who ran ahead killed the main boss as us other three were fighting our way through it. He completed activity and we didn't get the event tickets, Are we screwed now for the day or can we go into another group and get them?

They should at least freeze ahead till 3 of 4 are there to fight!

I teleported to Wayrest and then teleported talked to Bolgurl. My groupmate got a ready check, I did not at first. Then I got one way late, and I accepted but the queue ended. Requeued, instant group.

and on my heal I didnt get any dungeons at all
so, 2nd day of event is wasted

ps: yes I know that I can find premade group and so on, but if it is a test of new AF, I want do it through AF

Absolutely terrible! Solo queue as a tank: over 10/20 minutes wait time.
Queue with Tank and me as healer: over 20~40 minutes wait time

so if i read all the above correctly:

NA - doin fine. great even.
EU - still really long wait. but no disconnect/kickout as much.


so overall... better than last Undaunted Event?

What has happened overnight? I had several 30 to 60 minute farming FG1 runs where as a tank I was seldom queuing for longer than minute and often less than 10 seconds. This morning I rarely got a dungeon in less than 10 Minutes. I fact I only succeeded once and for my high cp tank I gave up and duo'd it with a guildie.

Thing is the rewards are mostly dross apart from the event tokens and even these are pointless to me apart from the opal stuff (I don't like the strange dog-deer thing they call the Idrik) so the event is a real disappointment for me.

I might try again later but without que time reductions I'll give it a miss - at least it'll all be over by Monday PM

Just came back to the game for this event to give ESO another shot. Game frozed/crashed during the initial character loading screen. Closed app, restart and relogged in. Later, queued for Wayrest 1 with my tank. About 5 minutes in, the "Ready Check" popped automatically; but no role icons showing. It didn't even give me the standard notification that the dungeon is ready and the option to accept or decline. It stayed at the ready check for some time. I had to cancel the queue via the activity finder. Then, tried to requeue, but says one or more of my party had queue too many times (or something like that.)

Later, when I was able to queue again, it was instant for dungeon ready. I clicked yes and it went into the ready check; again no role icons showing. Also, it kept saying someone has declined and popped back and forth into the ready check a few times. Moments later, received a notification that the dungeon is ready; with the countdown to accept or decline. Sigh.. as I grabbed my controller and was about to press accept, the darn notification and countdown just disappeared. Not going so well here. Well, a couple re-queues later, I finally got in. Never had this much issue queuing in as a tank before.

Anyways, kudos for another go at the undaunted event, and you guys are great at game design and development; however, you guys are horrible at fixes. I, for one, am not looking forward to ESO 6. No thank you.. and oh yeah, not that it matters to you all; still blue screen crashing as always (among other reoccurring and never-ending bugs and glitches.)

I haven't tried finding people through the group finder, but with a premade it has been working great actually. None of the old bugs of "player declined invite" even in a premade with no one declining.

We farmed a few specific dungeons for hours using the dungeon finder, with no issues noticed. This was PC NA during primetime. Thumbs up so far.

Unfortunately I have run into several major issues over the past week and past few days with dungeon finder:

Platform/Server: PC-NA
Times: Prime time, 1/9 and 1/10 (~5 e.s.t. to 10 e.s.t)

• Queuing with a healer and dps (healer: max level, dps: in the level 30 range) results in an infinitely long queue. The group leader was almost always unable to leave the queue, as well (i.e., click leave queue and confirm it, and nothing happens), which forced a relog. This was true for both random normal and specific dungeon queuing. We waited upwards of 1 hour 20 minutes to test this. We were completely unable to run dungeons on multiple nights because of this, and for the even resorted to duoing easier ones without the activity finder.
• Queuing last night with a group of 4 (tank, healer, and 2 dps) for random normal resulted in a queue lasting over 1 hour. Eventually we just ported to a dungeon and ran it, and the queue continued to count upwards.
• On occasion, during these infinite queues (but not always), one group member would get a ready check but the other would not. Accepting the "ghost" ready check would result in nothing happening for either character, so one character remained queue and the other remained in a permanent ready check state.
• During our 4 person queue, the interface would sometimes generate a group ready check rather than a queue ready check. None of the players initiated it.
• On occasion, selecting one specific dungeon and then specifying a second resulted in both becoming un-checkmarked.
• Several times, hitting "join queue" resulted in nothing happening for upwards of 20 seconds.

The strange thing is queuing solo seemed to work fine, at least as a healer when I tried it at max level. We also tried relogging several times, reforming the group, and having a different character initiate the queue, which never seemed to address the issue.

Thanks for looking into these issues and I'll look forward to the improvements!

I've been queuing solo as a healer every time, at various times of day, on both servers.

NA: has been working like a charm. I usually get the ready check in about 45 seconds.

EU: can't get in at all, as a healer, no matter what time of day. (When I say "at all" I mean waiting up to 45-50 minutes. I'm not waiting longer than that, I've got other things to do with my life.) This is on both my account and my kid's account. (I've tried testing them both consecutively and concurrently).
