    Well the PvP part is just about done, looks like the keyboard warriors will have to wait another year till they get another kill.

    Good observation as that works well during mid year meyhem.

    @Enkil unfair? You must not understand how pvp works... :neutral:

    The topic of that thread u are rebutting is geared PvPers going to towns and camping them in numbers so that ungeared, unskilled, new to PvP players are killed almost instantly and cannot even complete what they have originally set out to do. Often it’s involved exploiting the fact there is a loading screen on entering...

    Griefing is not PvP!

    The vast majority of the "pvers" I've seen the last 2 nights have been mostly @names I recognize from the large zergs. They are running chars without rank, I assume to appear not to be a pvper.
    I was giving some lower level chars a pass till I kept getting attacked by them afterwards. Now, I don't give a pass unless I've talked to them directly and warned them.
    Not all events are meant for everyone. I didn't do last weeks event because I had a better use of my time. I'm not going to grind though something I don't enjoy for something I probably will never use.

    The most toxic gameplay I've been a part of was a trials guild I was in. I got bored of the constant infighting and now only run trials when a friend needs help.

    I say, double boxes next time. Some of the PVErs will stay. Some shouldn't even play if it affects them so.

    It comes down to this: ZOS added three temporary event campaigns explicitly for doing these event quests. And you, or others like you, changed your campaign to one of these event campaigns to queue in explicitly to bully, harass, stalk, and distress people doing the event quests in a way that is outside the normal flow of gameplay.

    The PvE'ers didn't come into your PvP zone. They went into event PvP zones. Y'all had to deliberately switch campaigns to even see the questers, and you did it explicitly with the intent of going to bully questers. Yes, there may have been some questers who went to Vivec or Shor, and that would have been fair game, and your arguments might have applied. But the most egregious griefing I observed actually happened on the temporary event campaigns, specifically Boethiah.

    Just admit you if get off on harassing people. Just admit if you want to be a jerk and don't care. You get a big dopamine rush when you see people who are virtually helpless get frustrated or waste their time. It's sociopathic griefing. At least own it, don't come here with 100 excuses as to why it's okay.

    From your tone, it seems clear to me you are arguing in bad faith to bait and troll (really my dude, housing guilds being toxic?) I could, one by one, debunk every point you've made in this thread, but I am not going to waste my time because I don't think you are arguing in good faith. (If someone else wants to see the talking points debunked from an experienced player, let me know.) This is trolling here on the forums just like in-game. Getting other people to waste their time is what excites you. I hope griefers got mass reported and I hope they get banned. I certainly reported anyone I saw griefing in the manner I described.

    From the Code of Conduct:
    2.5 You may not harass, threaten, embarrass, or cause distress to another customer or guest using ZeniMax sites and Services. This includes but is not limited to verbal attacks, unwanted messaging, personal attacks, stalking or any other undesired behavior used to cause discomfort or disrupt another customer's experience.

    From the Terms of Service:
    You agree not to use any Service to:
    • Harass, stalk, threaten, embarrass, spam or do anything else to another user of any Services that is unwanted, such as repeatedly sending unwanted messages or making personal attacks or statements about race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc.;
    • Take any action, organize, transmit any Content, effectuate or participate in any activity, group, or guild that is harmful, tortuous, abusive, hateful (including "hate speech"), racially, ethnically, religiously or otherwise offensive, obscene, threatening, bullying, vulgar, sexually explicit, defamatory, libelous, infringing, invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights, encourages conduct that would violate a law or is, in a reasonable person's view, objectionable and/or deemed to be in the sole discretion of ZeniMax inappropriate;
    • Engage in disruptive behavior in chat areas, game areas, forums, or any other area or aspect of the Services. Examples of disruptive behavior include, but are not limited to, conduct which interferes with the normal flow of gameplay or dialogue within a Service, vulgar language, abusiveness, hitting the return key repeatedly or inputting large images so the screen goes by too fast to read, use of excessive shouting [i.e., all text in capitals] in an attempt to disturb other users, "spamming" or flooding [i.e., posting repetitive text], commercial postings, solicitations and advertisements, posting advertising or promotional messaging, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or other commercial activities;

    When you, either as an individual or as a group or guild, decided to change campaigns to an event campaign, camp in the town houses in order to harass, threaten, and bully event questers while they are in a door loading screen, while they are trying to engage in the normal flow of gameplay -- an flow of gameplay promoted and encourged by ZOS for the event -- in some cases with the express purpose (as many here on the forums have indicated) of causing distress to other players... yes, despite giving a wide latitude to competitive PvP behavior, that is across the line. I hope actions are taken for the worst abusers.

    OK then, ban all Nightblades for stalking because someone wants to enforce the TOS literally as opposed to the catch-all it is which allows ZOS to do whatever it wants.

    Or maybe we should have to send a tell for content before attacking someoene?

    Absurd.

    I believe the vast majority of the outrage is loot box addiction which is a very real thing and affects PVE and PVP players. If any ZOS devs are reading this and rolling their eyes at the players, this is a monster of your creation.

    @josh.lackey_ESO - When you mention that pve-ers go to "event PvP zones" and pvp-ers follow them there, are you saying that those campaigns were made strictly for pve-ers so they can complete their quests in peace away from any source of pvp that could hurt their feelings or force them to craft impen gear?

    The "event PVP campaigns" are for the event, sure, but they are definitely still PVP campaigns and still offer event rewards for PVP quests. Things like Kill 20 Enemy Players.

    They are overflow campaigns, and that need for overflow impacts experienced PVPers too. In my case, the extra event campaigns are the one time I go and PVP with non-EP toons since I dont have to worry about fighting against guildies on our main campaigns.

    This excuse of "the extra PVP campaigns should actually be PVE" is just an excuse. That doesnt fly in Midyear Mayhem, and all of the new campaigns are still PVP zones, same as the more populated campaigns.

    Housetards spend $200 on fake houses instead of saving it for a irl house by far the stupidest "community" I have ever seen.
    For $200 you can by the entire games content all xpac+dlc and buy some coke with the rest

    Financially speaking, lack of player housing is one of WoW's biggest failures. They should have implemented it years ago.

    It would give them a better cushion when Xpacks like BfA are complete garbage and they start shedding customers, as more customers would find themselves invested in keeping their account active.

    On top of that, housing is an in game mechanic that has existed in prior single player TES games. Both Oblivion and Skyrim have houses you could buy (and one of Skyrim's DLCs was all about that in fact).

    I don't begrudge them player housing, and they made sure there were some budget options for those of us who don't want to spend much of anything on it, and it's not an integral part of the game experience if you don't care about it.

    See, as a person who also can't justify that kind of money on game content i have wondered this myself.

    The conclusion i arrived at is that
    In my experience the people who blow shxtloads of cash on in game content are the ones who can simply afford it, and financially are far from being...houstards.

    You're sitting here laughing at them for wasting their cash and they're likely sitting here laughing at you (and me)for...well...being poor.

    I have to concur with this. Several of the players I saw doing this during the Cyrodiil event, I’ve since seen dying with the rest of their random zergs. Actual top-tier players get just as much AP actually fighting players that can fight back.

    @Mr_Walker that's why it was in "quotes," because it was a rebuttal thread to a thread with that name...

    @Marcus684 Not true. It's easier for any player to kill bad players and they'll farm a lot more AP on the initial kills because everyone is generally worth the same if they haven't died in a while. But, yeah door camping is a low blow... so is a lot of things, but it is pvp. And the video I shared, I was in the town and we kept trying to cap the flag to stop the spawn so we could flip it.

    PvP is what we make it by setting norms. Door camping is “PvP” in a literal and semantic way. However, it is NOT PvP in a gaming sense!!

    Just like taking keeps PvDoor in a PvP zone is NOT PvP.... etc.

    I think this depends on your frame of reference. In my city, a single opera ticket is currently priced at $229. That's $458 for one couple for one evening, not counting parking, food, and drinks (which in this case are probably not Cokes). So it's not really a question of whether this is too much to spend on "just" entertainment. It's a question of the person's entertainment budget, and whether the form of entertainment is worth it to the purchaser. Which is a separate question.
