No, this isn't one of those "that guy's using cheat engine" posts or "that person ran the scroll in the opposite direction I thought it should go" (because I understand the tactics behind making factions go after each other) posts.

This is for that one *** who was on an AD character (PC/NA) and was running to people's defensive siege and turning it around while we were trying to defend Sej as EP was attacking. That's straight up *** gameplay. Get back on your EP or DC character and help them out. Don't sabotage another faction. For ***'s sake, man.

Record it, send a link from xboxdvr.com or whatever to ZOS. This needs to stop. Same kind of people slandering "allies" in area chat, in a way that would lead to legal actions if in real life.

I have to admit, that someone would honestly do that to win is pretty funny. I would have seriously there. My goodness, Cyrodiil turns more comical daily.

Turning seige never gets old. Perhaps it is the tactically superior option to fire you seige away from the enemy to detter them hitting the flank. Never assume motive.

Personally the only time I remember seeing you there I didn't see any groups sieging sej just ep pugs including 3 of us getting teir 1 rewards on random chars

I've had my siege turned around and fired in the opposite direction while shooting Ash milegate on my DC toon. In an MMO there are going to be reprobates. What they are doing is more along the lines of a deviant psychology in general than cheating for a specific purpose it seems. Or more simply you are likely talking about a psychopath since what they do makes no sense but hurts others and gives them pleasure.

Psychopath isn't a medical diagnosis. Anti-social personality disorder I think is the term used. Psychopath is a broader term.

e.g. A person uses a public urinal. They turn 180 degrees and pee in the opposite direction. That person could be classified as a psychopath. They aren't necessarily Anti-social.

Idk, maybe they were just frustrated with 20 man groups that run upstairs to seige 6 people when the keep is still at 100%. If that's the case then I don't blame them for turning your seige around. Not saying that's the case, but is all too common.

If they want to take that troll to the next level, they need to get a group of 20 down there, each on their own siege and turn it away and just hold it there. That way you can't even place any that are pointing in the proper direction at all. They could even all have a guild tag so the opposing faction knows not to kill them. A bunch of AD all running around with the guild tag "Team Purple" and doing this on a regular basis would be horrifying and hilarious.

Imagine the most productive, awesome thing you can. Someone out there will do that. Now imagine the most worthless, idiotic thing. I guarantee someone does that.

An average person will probably play this game in a predictable way somewhere in the middle. It's the outliers you have to watch out for. You don't have to understand why they do what they do. Just recognize that they exist.

There is nothing to spy about, the campaigns are worthless, all it is is giant zerg ball stacks force flipping flags, you don't really need a spy to see that.

Trolls gotta troll, and even with faction locks, people with multiple accounts will keep doing it if they’re so inclined. The other night, someone on an AD character kept trying to get people to go to Nickel for “easy AP”, to get farmed by a couple EP. I was heartened to see almost no one fall for it, and so the trolls got bored and moved on. So, the best thing really is to just ignore them and report with video evidence when possible. If they see people getting angry, the attention only validates them and incentivizes them to keep doing it.

Edited to add that this Vivec campaign I’ve seen more of it, because AD has an insurmountable lead. So, I think some of the trolls are just immature people who are bored.

No. There's definitely people who are willing to spy. A while back, DD actually kicked a few new recruits who said that they'd pop on EP toons to help us. I mean, it's "play as you want"- but there's still a sportsmanship to even video games, you know?

It was around 8pm (AK time). I don't remember seeing you there- just some of the more well-known "EP ball group" members (can't name/shame... though I think "ball groups" are legit tactics). DD wasn't running at the time, either. They usually pop on around 10pm my time.

…and I feel ya. I've been trying to get Tier 3 on 10 of my characters. Running around on Sorcs/NBs/DKs/Wardens/Templars in PVP makes you appreciate their strengths and weaknesses.

Pretty sure ZOS made the turning faster some time back as an attempt to counter this somewhat. It used to take a lot longer to turn siege. Not sure what else could be done tbh.
