Anyone want to add to this? To me, ESO Is a very guild oriented game; but has none of the tools to support guild actions. Myself being an officer, we are very limited in Admin tools. As far as gameplay it has nothing more than giving a player a guild trader and the ability to chat to upto 500 people. That seems extremely lackluster and needs to be built up. Especially with new guild roles coming out.

Guild updates 2019! Keep dream alive 👻

I believe in the dream! I will pester ZOS at all events I see them at this year.

Sadly guild system was always neglected in ESO. Plenty "basic" features from other mmos are missing. Guild heraldry could use some work too, starting with sharing color patterns from armor dyes. Option to apply guild tag without silly tabard, etc etc.

@Gravord I agree completely. It feels like their unique guild experience was to strip away all guild features you would get from any other game. Each improvement they have added keeps me saying "This should have been around 3 years ago" or "why wasnt this default"

My biggest wish list would be a way to separate out the guild bank. It would definitely be awesome to have a section where only certain ranks have access to store nice items for raffles, auctions, etc. And then have a totally separate section, that can have a different set of ranks given privileges to access, where you could put everything else that you'd like to share openly with all guildmates who might need it.

It sucks managing raffles and keeping track of who donates, it would be great to have a system that does some of that for us. Like a guild NPC that officers can create small events for, and players can purchase tickets to, and when the time comes, he announces winners.

    Here's an alternative perspective.

I am mortified. Literally, properly mortified every single time I see someone spamming zone chat recruiting for their guild advertising things like raffles. Which seems to be most of them.

The only other MMOs I've played recently are Star Trek Online and Guild Wars 2. Have played plenty of others but not lately. I've never seen guild sponsored gambling in any MMO except ESO.

I've seen them in SWTOR too, but nowhere else. In my trading guild days, I'd donate an extra gold per the local rules to avoid being entered into the raffle. I detest gambling, even small-scale stuff like this. I can see why guild leadership might want to implement them as incentive to donate, but I'm surprised the player base here seems to enjoy raffles so much.

*shrug* To each their own, I guess.

While not a fan of gambling myself, I think most folks - at least, most the ones who purchase raffle tickets in my guild - do it primarily as a way to donate to the guild to make a guild trader bid each week. Making your donation in the form of buying raffle tickets gives the added bonus that, hey, you might also win something.

PS5 NA. GM of The PTK's - a free trading guild (CP 500+). Also a werewolf, bites are free when they're available. PSN = DragonRacer13
