Need some guidance in regards to Bosmer changes.

So as a Bosmer stamblade who does both PvP and PvE, but loves to steal and stab people in her spare time, is it honestly worth it to stay a Bosmer?

I'm strongly considering switching to Khajiit, but their racial changes don't have me too excited either.

It's mainly the loss of the stealth buff in exchange for a roll/dodge buff that I don't really need because of my bow skills that has me bothered.

This isn't my main character, which is why I need a little bit of guidance as I don't have as much experience in regards to stamblades.

So in conclusion, is it worth it to switch to Khajiit to get my stealth buff back or should I just stick it out?

Stealing doesn't require min/maxing, ive been successful in that on my redguard stam sorc. For pvp, speed is the easiest tool to survive as it lets you kite zerglings easier so it is a nice change. The bow major expedition will likely stack with the 20 percent buff from the racial so it will be amazing running away while others try to catch you. Also speed is useful to everyone and it opens use for non gank playstyles

I agree with that. I don't get the uproar about the Bosmer changes, they're really powerful for PvP and having a race which supports mobility is a good addition to the game.
I used to think that PvP was a tragedy, but now I realize, it's a comedy.

You get a good stamina sustain buff as well. Don't forget the 258 are base stat increase and so they get buffed from percentage bonuses. You will end up on a comparable level to redguard if this hits live, even more so now that both have the same stamina bonus of 2k.

Stealing and stabbing requires no min/maxing. Use Night Mothers Embrace and Night Terror and you are still invisible to NPC's right in front of you.

If you however like that passive khajiit could be a nice alternative. You will get 2 additional meters decreased radius (3 --> 5), 75 base magreg, 100 base healthreg, 750 base health and magicka and more crit at the cost of the roll passive (which can be very nice as Aliyavana pointed out), max stam and stamreg. For PvE you might lose some damage or sustain, for PvP you gain nice stuff.

I consider both good choices. It really comes down to your personal prefeneces imo

Sneaking is something that requires very little optimization at least till now. So start getting optimized if sneaking is such major point.

Your sneak range currently is 2m. Next patch it will be 4m.
Equip this (https://eso-sets.com/set/night-terror) next patch and your sneak range will be again 2m.

Or switch to khajiit and enjoy 1m range.

How do you figure this? Right now Bosmer and Khajiit have the same range. After this change, the Khajiit range will improve by 2m (from 3m to 5m) and the woodelf range will get worse by 3m (from 3m to 0m), which means the difference between Khajiit and Bosmer is 5m not 3m.
Taking stealth away from the Bosmer is like taking magic away from the Altmer, making Nords allergic to mead, or making Orcs pretty.

Dont change your race. it is very minimal and that dodge buff is huge. Esp if you are a NB, it is extremely good no need to switch

    Base range is 6.5m.

Calculation goes like this: (6.5 - x)*y. Where x are the number reduction (like 3m less) and y is percentage reduction (like medium armor). In full medium armor you have 35% reduction so y is 0.65. For bosmer the result is then 4.2m rounded to 4m. For khajiit it is 0.95m rounded up to 1m.

    Thank you for explaining.

However, what this means is not just the for Bosmer the result is 4.2, but EVERYONE is 4.2. Except the Khajiit who are at 1. Hell, a Khajiit in heavy armor would have a radius of 2m (well 1.5 which rounds up), so twice as stealthy as anyone else in medium armor.

Yup. Khajiit is the only option to have small detection range without further investment. But then again sneaking in pve in general doesnt require damage investment so its not like having good sneak range is locked behind khajiit. With set like night terror/mother embrace detection range can be reduced to 2-3m on any race and those sets can be easily replaced for something combat oriented when doing something else than sneaking. Contrary to that, currently nobody performing something else than sneaking can replace those passives for something combat useful.

Wear "stealing" gear...Night's Silence(5)/Night Terror(3) and you're good to go.

Thank you all SO much for your input!

I'll be keeping my precious little cannibal the way she is and getting those gear suggestions!

You all saved me from wasting that free race change, so I really appreciate it.
