Buckle your seat belt.
Synopsis:
Have you ever wanted wield the WabbaJack, Hircine’s Ring, Azura’s Star, or Molag Bal’s Mace against your foes in Cyrodiil? Daedric Artifacts are now attainable in Cyrodiil! These artifacts are put into play by the Daedric Princes, granting their most devoted follower a chance to change the tide of the war.
How do you get an Artifact?:
-Shrines will appear across Cyrodiil, praying to one of these shrines will put you in the service of that Deadric Prince. While under the service of the Prince any Alliance Points that you earn in the campaign will unlock and be assigned to a prince specific leaderboard.
-This will function very much like the emperorship leaderboard, with one major difference. After you have wielded the relic you are then put to the bottom of the list. This allows different people a chance at obtaining a relic, but still rewards active players more chances to obtain a relic later in the campaign.
-Each faction will have one active Prince at a time that is appointed every hour on the hour. If the champion is defeated before the hour is up, that faction has to wait until the hour is up for a new Champion to take up an Artifact.
-Once an alliance has seated an Emperor or Empress they no longer gain access to Daedric Artifacts the duration of the emperorship, the longer the throne is seated the more Artifacts become available at a given time.
-When a Daedric Prince becomes active, The Prince will look the list of their followers and looks for the highest ranked worshiper that is online and in the Home Campaign at that time. The player has a short time to accept or decline the quest.
-Accepting the quest will put you on the clock 1 hour and send you to the nearby delve were the Daedric Artifact can be reclaimed. Much like treasure maps only the quest holder can interact with and retrieve the Artifact.
-Declining the quest will cause your Daedric Prince to pass over you for the time being, this keeps your ranking in place.
What does an Artifact do?:
-When you obtain an artifact you gain imminence power but all skills, passives, CP, gear and resources are removed. You are then given a skillbar that is unique to that Daedric Artifact. Your health bar is increased dramatically but you lose the ability to be healed by others. In most cases you become a walking world boss, unable to be Stunned or CC’d.
-The abilities that you gain are tied to cooldowns, the most powerful ability having a longer cooldown. Abilities range from Siege damage, to Mobile Forward camps.
This system would allow players a reward for long term play with gratifying short term bonuses. At the same time would help populate servers in particular give reasons to play in lower populated campaigns.
Leave your feedback, what artifacts and abilities would you like to see?
