PC EU - every day whole map yellow and all scrolls at yellow side

Every day after work when i log in to game i see that whole map is yellow and all scrolls are at yellow side. During the day yellows loose but they take again everything at night or morning. One day morning i checked what is going on. Map was not whole yellow but i saw that is going to that way. It was only few yellow players.
Its ok that they just use empty time to gain AP bonus for later (because they cant compete with blues and reds at prime time) but i have idea.

Maybe, when fraction is not fully populated then gates to temples never open and its not possible to take scrolls?
That way noone will use that easy way to take scrolls when there is noone that defend scrolls.

Also there can be some very strong NPC (so strong that will be trouble even for pro players) that defend empty fractions keep (home keeps).

Just ideas... Because now when i see everyday that mess i just leave Cyro. At some day yellows will login and see that they cant take anymore anything at empty time beacuse rest of players left and leave whole map only for yellows. ;)

You do realize that your night time is someone else's prime time, yes?
And just because you are asleep that doesn't mean the campaign is empty.

Other players have just as much rights to be there as you do.

You can't seriously expect a campaign to be locked when you go to sleep ...

"You can't seriously expect a campaign to be locked when you go to sleep"
I didn't write anything like that.

I don't want to lock campaign.

Just make some adjustmend to rules when some fraction is empty to improve quality of AvA.
Locking scrolls when there are no players logged in to defend scrolls - that is my idea.

The other day i was leveling another character (on the DC side) and ended up inside the EP area since the gates were open (AD was dominating the map).

I snuck in and got the two otherwise locked skyshards,.
Then i got bored and went to the temple that usually houses the scroll (was gone at that point) and proceeded to solo all the guards in the temple, jumped up on the pedestal and typed /sitchair in the chat window.

I beat those guards fair and square but according to your proposed "solution" i would not be able to collect any reward for my efforts, because you are asleep and not there to defend the temple.

Does this really make any sense to you?

Maybe 3 separated Cyro? One for only reds, one for only blues, one for only yellows? Make sense to you?

..but yeah.. everything yellow, for 2 years...they simply don't want to PvP.

On the PC-EU server the overwhelming majority of players is located in Europe, thus their timezones have a difference of realistically 3 hours at most. After 3-4 am there is like 4 people playing on each faction cause everyone else is sleeping, and the people who are still awake stop playing cause no action.

However at 6-7 am a yellow group (of Europeans) log on to take the whole map without resistance as they get decent amounts of AP from flipping empty keeps and gain full campaign scoring for 6 hours as that is the earliest that other people log in again.

It's different on the NA server as you have way more different timezones represented there, however it is, and has been for the last 3 years, a huge issue on the EU server.

Great idea, they already hit like trucks in no-CP, and as my death recap came up the other day with:

    Surprise prostate exam! 2,243 dmg
    Surprise prostate exam! 2,647 dmg
    Surprise prostate exam! 2,856 dmg
    Surprise prostate exam! 3,175 dmg
    Surprise prostate exam! 2,522 dmg

from a group of NPC guards, I was thinking "they really need to make these guys tougher".

The excess Reds on Sotha don’t go to Vivec either. It’s a problem only a pop dynamic scoring would solve (yet not that ridiculous low pop bonus ZOS introduced).

Invicible behind walls and 20 sieges and when facing NPCs ye. Or maybe with lvl 60 vigor+speed horse & maneuveur (oh hi Ryh).

There is a simple solution to morningcap and unfairful campaign winning, simply do not allow any faction to take starting keeps (so scrolls too) at a certain level of population on each side.

But I'm pretty sure they will know how to use this to not lose their beloved campaign by disconnecting when they're not winning the fights. :)

I hear this argument often, but it wouldn't realistically work. Even if you somehow managed to convince the entire faction to log off, they would be instantly replaced by the 150+ already waiting in the queue.

Two days ago I was genuinely surprised when I asked in EU Vicec zone chat, if anyone could recall when DC last won a Vivec campaign? The answers receieved to that question? Probably two years. Two years! Despite this I am always impressed by the good humour, courage and dedication DC players display when faced by the seemingly many disadvantages posed by a faction continually establishing a routine. A routine that sets up many advantages that secure a strong position in the morning, that lead into afternoon and sometimes beyond.
I believe the saying goes, when you can dominate the map irrespective of time, have more players on your faction than others, etc, etc, it's 'working as intended') I feel kind of sad (but understand) when I see many players who begin their PvP adventures on DC, decide to switch factions to the faction who can reward their endevours in pvp. (No matter how much or how little!) Too much 'water under the bridge' for me to even consider a faction switch to another colour then blue. No matter how DC performs, past, present or future there will always be players who believe in the Pride of the Lion!

I am quitew certain that a combination of a faction lock and better low population bonus (or maybe a negative high population bonus?) would actually make fighting to win the campaign for ur faction exciting again. But yes, all credit to players who stay loyal to their alliance and keep up good spirits even with all that is against them ( I have to admit i coudnt always, and I have now taken a break), but Cyrodil and ESO woudnt be the same without them.

I think only a small amount of people care about winning a campaign anymore. Before a Vivec EU campaign starts you know that AD will win it because of their early morning squad.

When you play in the morning and take a single resource you will be chased by a 20+ AD zerg (cost poisons/dedicated healers/timestops/earthgore/sieging 10v1) until they get you.... you cant even blame them since they already took every resource/scroll/keep so what else are they supposed to do.

When other alliances log on AD will lose it all and not get max points for a few hours. Until other alliances log off and the earlie morning AD squad wakes up again and takes it all.

Just dont bother about the score or trying to win the campaign and try and find some fun fights or farm AP/AR.. it is what most other people do.

AD have repeatedly demonstrated that they are the weakest faction when all of the sides are equal although i have months worth of pics that demonstrate that the strongest side when there aren't poplocks are the side with the highest population. EP have been nightcapping with superior numbers a few hours before the yellow morningcap (AD of up to 50 players i may add) commences and the 4 reds and 3 blues actually on the server are just wasting their time from about 0500hrs all the way up to mid afternoon when the populations start to pick up.
FYI, DC won their last campaign during midyear mayhem in 2017 and i think the reds managed this year at the same time, mainly i guess due to the fact that it is newer players who won't know how to Orange the blue side or purple the yellow side which i may add, happens a lot. I'm playing dc and i have a range of pics from the last 7 months demonstrating a regular orange army doubleteaming the blues so that the reds could get 2nd place and leave the blues floundering in last.
Also, @Derra spent a lot of time and effort pointing out the disparity in scores relative to populations on Vivec, Shor and Sotha and it fell on completely deaf ears anywhere within zos or perhaps it is just the normal story where PvPers are just not listened to in general because there are more whales in the PvE world and easier fixes to problems with NPCs rather than human controlled chars.
Those of you asking for a faction lock all seem to forget that this was getting exploited for months and months before they made it "legal" and my guess is they either couldn't be bothered fixing it due to time vs money or it is just plain unfixable without breaking other parts of the game (a common occurencein this game XD,) so you will all have to push for a fix for the exploit that was always around that permitted people to cross-faction before it is worth bothering about pestering anyone in the forums.
The winners of the last 3 pc eu vivec campaigns have been decided in the first 48 hours of the campaign mainly by PVE and i think this is the main reason why most people don't care about who wins the campaign any more... BECAUSE THEY'VE HAD IT KICKED OUT OF THEM BY 3 YEARS OF YELLOW MORNINGCAPS!!
It is about time ZOS took their proverbial fingers out of their posteriors and did something about this because one of the main aspects of what Cyrodiil is all about has been 100% nullified by 20-50 nameless, faceless people who mainly don't know how to pvp but they can press a button once every 7 seconds to get a ballista to work which is enough to take AD to victory and has done since 2015.
Just in case you weren't aware @zos , it is closer to 2020 now than it is to 2015 and the best you've managed has been to make the scores even more ruined by making scrolls worth 10 points and btw, whoever thought of this idea in the first place evidently has next to no idea what's actually going on in Cyro, nor how campaign scoring can be detrimental to one of the main ideas of the Alliance War. I wouldn't even trust whoever had that idea to make me a cup of coffee without putting soup or yoghurt in it ;)

Yeah that's me.. I stopped defending the morningcap almost a year ago so either your memory is very good or you spotted me in a video somewhere getting flattened by a minor horde. ;) Haven't been awake at that time in months because attempts to stop at least a ratio of 5 AD to 1 DC was completely futile, even if most of them don't know their Rs from their elbows. I mainly got more than a little fed up with getting zerged every morning without fail as did the other 3-4 (sometimes as many as 6 or 7!!) people with me vs 20-50 (and yes, the Miat's counter counted 48 one morning once i was dead and i'm pretty sure it missed a few out)
I'm also a range of other characters who used to get zergfunked (sp) at that time as well.. Pretty much sums up what i said originally about people having their desire to win a campaign being kicked out of them by morningcaps 364 days a year for the last 3 years. (we've all got to have a day off some time)
On top of that a mate of mine (who plays red/yellow and blue) mentioned to me something from 3 or 4 campaigns ago, where you said you would help the reds beat the blues as much as possible and this probably didn't help the DC contingency much but most likely made the reds feel better than they actually were at the time as well. Rumours of orange alliance got promoted to confirmation at that point, making things at that point almost pointless except to get a bit of fun rather than any manner of "fair" competition ;)
