ZOS has dropped the ball, and needs to make this right.

I have just come back from another check with regard to the Scalecaller and Fang Lair motifs. I have, sitting in my bank, 2 master writs, one of which is for a goodly amount of writ vouchers, that call for those motifs. I just double checked the crafting station with my crafter who knows every motif in the game except the ones that came out, or were supposed to come out, with this patch. There is no place in the crafting station's information, with the 'have knowledge' and 'have item' unselected, for either the Fang Lair or Scalecaller items. Even if the motifs dropped, without them being active in the crafting station, there is no way that you could fill those master writs. I'm asking ZOS to fix this, or at least give us an idea of when it will be fixed, because you did give out master writs that cannot be done. This is not the first time, either. Please make this right, because you're the ones at fault for this difficulty. I wouldn't care about the motifs not being out if there weren't high value writs demanding them. Really, it shouldn't be too hard to even acknowledge that the problem exists and state your plan for fixing it. Please, do give us an update on correcting this. (and also, please put in the missing jewelry station in the Hollow City/Coldharmbour).

motifs are active from the moment you learn them and applies to all crafting stations, have you made sure you have the style materials (dragon bone or infected flesh) in your inventory/crafting bag or bank?

you can still see motives you havent collected by unchecking the boxes like the OP said, so you should be able to see styles which are in the game but you havent learned yet in red

Yea, I accidentally started one of these the other day and had to drop it. Hazard of knowing all the motifs is that you arn't checking and so when ZOS screws up it is you that gets screwed. Oh well, it was only ~$7K worth. Boy would I have been pissed if it was $70k.

Neither of these motifs are available in game yet. You cannot learn them. It is currently impossible to complete any master writ that asks for Scalecaller or Fang Lair motif.

ZOS is ****ing us around by allowing these writs to drop at all.

Agreed. I believe that the pages will start dropping in-game later this month when they release in the CS. Pretty crap move to have MWs start dropping in these motifs but not allow us to start learning the motifs until their simultaneous release in the CS.

Used to be that dungeon motifs were released in the CS well after their in-game release and even then, they were limited-time and overpriced. Looks like these are going to be permanent additions to the CS and coming out at the same time as the in-game versions (though it's noted in the Showcase that the motif can be obtained in-game).

While I feel your pain, and yeah, it’s silly, I was just in another thread where a guy was arguing that motifs should not drop until months after the crafting materials are available.

While I certainly don't mind that the mats are dropping before the motif, the fact that MWs are already asking for these motifs, which no one can get their hands on right now, is the main issue.

It is great you are testing on the PTS. It is best to post the information in the PTS sub forum vs necro a thread. Zos will likely not see your note here which is why I mention this.
