I know "Raz" turned up again at a later date, but can we truly be sure it's the same Raz?

Kinda spoilers so behind a tag, butYes, it's the same Raz. The first time you talk with him after that quest where he "dies" from falling rocks you find out that he escaped with some dodging and weaving, but got rather injured in the process. Here, have a timestamped video featuring the dialogue you missed.
I'm pretty damn sure they added that later on, he was dead as a doornail on my first character, pre Dark Brotherhood.

Unfortunately, some people won't get the meaning of this. Brilliant, though!
I wish to remind you, that Summerset plays years after the main story and the first encounters with Raz.
It's natural, that over the cause of years, someone changes ever so slightly.

of course we can't ignore the possibility that he was kidnapped and murdered by the Hollywood elite, and then replaced with a look-alike in order to appease the masses and further their secretive insidious agenda.

That chick though... I hope that she actually has a role in-game. Because that is by far the most badass Altmer I've seen to date in any TES titles. (Naryu is Dunmer, which makes it a different category.)

Is that actually an Altmer though? I've always seen her as Bosmer since the first cinematic trailers, she is holding a bosmer sword, not to say she has to use her own racial style weapon but it would seem odd I guess.
She's an Altmer. I can smell one from a mile away.SpiderKnight wrote: »Probably from nearly getting crushed to death. That chick though... I hope that she actually has a role in-game. It had nothing to do with the path of Jone and Jode ... in fact, that quest (Jone/Jode) was bugged for me for the longest time ... a year after I started playing the game was when I was finally able to complete the Jone/Jode quest. Anyway, Raz died in some sort of a ruin. He was willing to die and gave my toon instructions on what to do, even though that meant he would die. That's why I was so sad. I guess there was an option to save him and forgo the ancient artifact, but at the time, I didn't realize I had a choice.

But he lacks a little certain something. This is the Raz I know and adore.
