There's one in Wrothgar I abandoned due to the fact that you're forced
to kill one of the prisoners to progress (and you have to chose which one.)

Can't you avoid that by picking the right dialogue?

Honestly, I think I researched a bit before giving up on it, and nobody mentioned alternative options. I also tried to look around for alternative options, or hidden interactions, while I was at that stage, and nothing that seemed plausible worked.

But of course, I cannot be sure, there could maybe be a hidden/hard to spot option... but I'm almost sure is not a dialogue based one, since at that time I still was interested in listening to dialogue and hearing what everyone had to say.

Also, they could have patched in an extra option and I wouldn't know since I never done any Wrothgar quests again on any other characters (yet, at least...) since that time.

Why do people hate the Sun-In-Shadows questline so much? She's isn't a great person, but an intentionally bad person isn't a poorly written character. And you're doing the questline moreso to help Eoki than Sun-in-Shadows.

I think it's just the feeling you get at the end of the questline. Just like a movie. An ending may be well-created, but if it doesn't make the audience feel happy or good, it may not be very popular.

For me it's the Lightless Oubliette. I can't stand how long it takes those crystals to turn and the timings associated with interacting with them. Sometimes you attempt to turn it, but it is too soon and won't turn. Then there are the times you click too many times and it spins an extra turn!

I dread doing this one. It's obnoxiously slow and frustrating. They at least could have made it a little bit quicker to turn those blasted crystals.

The Library Gate part of The Final Assault. I have such a severe phobia of heights that it does affect me in-game and give me vertigo, and that leaping over the bottomless abyss stuff, and going close to the edges, and having to jump up onto ledges where if you miss you fall into the bottomless abyss...GAH. I am shaking and in a cold sweat by the time I finish that one!!!

Not so much any individual Quest that is my problem, my problem is the severe lack of getting anything when you kill one of these creatures, or characters that you can kill without repercussions and but then you get nothing from it after killing it, no gold, no weapons, no armor not a damned thing like you did in "SkyRim" I mean what's the deal it really sucks out of the 100 creatures or what have you kill you might get something from say 5, or less.

The only quest I hate is the one at Forelhost only because you have to do it to get the skyshard that is up there.

You don't have to do the quest if you have rapid maneuver and use a horse to jump up the rocks towards the skyshard.. you also need vigor or annulment though to stay alive up there to grab the skyshard and lorebook

I've been doing the Sun-in-Shadow quest line for the last two nights. There doesn't seem to be an end in sight, And now I'm at a point I'd rather just kill her myself and get it over with. I like Argonians and her voice acting is great but it just drags on too long.

EDIT: Also agree with the Thieves Guild heists and filler quests. The quest line itself is fun though.

Sun Shadow is not all that bad, heck, you should play the original Morrowind if you want to see quests that send you all over the place for tid bits. And, with vague directions, and no quest markers either.

The quests I hate, and will never do again, have to do with that Mystic or whatever he calls himself, in Alikir, that makes you sacrifice a goat, twice, all to make an obvious point. Yea yea, I like goats, I think they are cute.

I don't do the Bleakrock quest anymore as the town is better off if you never start the quest. I just save the outlying people and leave the island with Captain Rana fuming in her office.

Don't remember the name but it is in coldharbor and you have to follow this bosmer I think and it is very easy to lose him and when you do you have to start over. It is a terrible quest and should be removed from the game.

They have fixed this one. Now, the Bosmer stops if you have to stop for some reason. In the early part of the game, if you had to stop and fight or just lost line of site, the quest had to be reset. Now, the guy stands and waits.

"A Walk Above the Clouds" in the Rift. The one where you have to constantly keep warm via campfires or you freeze to death.

That quest can go straight to hell.

I actually liked the fact that it was different from all the rest. A change in mechanic every so often stops the game from becoming boring. However, it may have overdone the idea a bit.
