Argonians are the product of a drunken fling between a dragon and a nord.

Aldmeris didn't disappear, the Aldmer lost it to the khajiit in a poker match, the khajiit were arrested by a racist Breton guard, Aldmeris was confiscated, and is currently located at the bottom of the confiscated items chest at the dungeons in Shornhelm.

Whether or not a dragon has a soul is dependent on which side they took in the Dragon War.

Edit: Oh wait a minute, ZOS thought that was real lore....

So the dragon in the new dungeon took the wrong side?

I literally don't know. It makes no sense. A creature's soul is its life force, it can't exist without a soul.* That's the entire premise behind all the soul lore that ZOS has introduced through ESO. But now they seem to have decided that this one dragon, rather than having its soul absorbed by another dragon or a Dragonborn, never had one at all because it didn't take a side in the Dragon War. Which literally makes no sense.

*Aedric entities only. Daedra work slightly differently (similar concept though).

But the vestige lives without one, and I think shrivens, and vampires tho are undead. they listened to you in the morrowind beta regarding lore, if you feel the lore is off test the game on Monday and give feedback on pts

Id rather alduin ripped the soul out of the dragons who opposed him leaving the dungeon dragon a husk

The Vestige and other Soul Shriven had their soul taken and replaced with something else (the Daedric equivalent), which serves the same purpose. Vampires still have their souls. Undead have souls of some sort specifically because it is the souls of the deceased which reanimate them.

Right. Now that, as an alternative, makes complete sense and is backed up by existing soul lore.
they listened to you in the morrowind beta regarding lore
About the Indoril banner, sure, but they refuted my complaint over Telvanni tower construction despite the fact that I proposed a logical, lore-supported alternative. I fear this will be another Tevanni tower episode, where the logical solution is staring them in the face, and they decide to look the other way.

    Haha

    What if...

Aldmeris was in fact Ancient Elsweyr, and altmer ancestors had to flee away from there when people started to be affected by some kind of "furry" fashion? (or curse, benefitting Azurah's schemes)

The aldmeris on the west side were curse-affected too, but Y'ffre returned to teach them how to resist, and they became the Bosmer.

    DWARVES IN SPAAAAAAAAACE!

The Dwemer were teleported to another planet and are working on a massive Steam / Soulgem powered Space Ship that they can use to return to Nirn. During their investigations on space travel, they created observatories that showed the stars, so that they could investigate and validate a possible new home among the stars. Many of the massive underground structures are designed to burst forth from the ground, or to withstand the blast of re-entry revealing the upper most part of the structure, in order to act as landing sites for the Dwemer Colony Ships. While the Dwemer had intended for the Ancient Falmer to act as stewards in their absence, the ongoing fight between the two races ( and the lack of technical knowledge by the Falmer to make the required repairs over a long period of time) required the Dwemer to leave behind their Automata instead, while less useful they were not prone to disloyalty, only malfunctions. One day the Dwemer plan to return and bring a golden (Or brassy) Era of technologic advancement.

The vast majority of everything the ancient Nedes wrote was in chalk. That's why there is so little evidence of their civilization outside Craglorn.

It technically is fake lore. Talos doesn’t exist yet in the timeframe of ESO, not as a mortal, nor as a god.

There's a secret hidden dog race, currently preparing for a bloody endless war with the cat folk...

    About that...
Their first appearance in history was as pirates, which we may now assume were also scouts for the eventual invasions. Ships manned by bizarre beastfolk bewildered and horrified the earliest inhabitants of Tamriel. Contemporary scholars find references to pirates with rat-like features, and still others who appeared canine, suggesting Akaviri cultures yet undiscovered and perhaps extinct. Then, of course, there are the dragons, Akavir's most deadly and beautiful former native child. The very name "Akavir," in fact, means "Dragon Land."

Now, it could just be our shapeshifting friends in Tsaesci doing their shapeshifting thing, or given the text of the datamined Crown Store book they might have just been wearing animal-mask helms...but you never know. A long-lost relative of the Lilmothiit isn't out of the question either IMO; we really don't know much about Akavir.
