Hi @Alcast It doesn't look like the builds have changed? The gear sets look to be the same, unless there are minor changes (champion points > 720) and that is all you've done?

    Thanks!

I started adding Dragon Bones DLC Builds. Keep in mind, as long as the update is not released those builds are in a "prototype state, as ZOS still might change a few things. Also, all the new "non-meta" class setups (DK, Sorc, NB Healer. Sorc, NB, Tempar Tank) are for Dungeons. They prolly also work in Trials but can not really compete with for example a DK Tank or a Templar Healer.

Okay not bad still don't think it's even as ingenious as mine :p SO I will be keeping my Sorc healer crown.

Now for my review of it. First I must say I'm impressed with the name. It inspires such power. In fact I a bit jelly. Can I get a redo?

Okay being serious now. Why light's champion? Because I don't understand why you didn't select the sorc healing ult? Was it supplment not having mutgen?

Next healing ward is pointless and a waste. You would use this if you actually didn't have a burst heal. In fact it's strongest one before healing passives.

But boundless storm now this is interesting. I finally learned something. In fact let's say I been inspired for my trial build.

I swear though you are copying and pasting some things from your other builds. Especially gear? Use worm in dungeons, not a good suggestion.

Why do you need tri infused gear as a sorc who gets 8% health. This doesn't make much sense. Also kena kinda over kill when you have a passive for spell damage. Max magic would increase twlight and healing springs instead of just healing springs. As unlike the templar this skill doesn't scale to to spell damage.

Overall seem well kinda rough, but it's nice see you actually make one. You don't remember this but called your website boring, but not so much anymore.

I usually slot Barrier on front bar on my healers and tanks, for the extra magicka recovery from Magicka Aid passive (rank 2 at Support rank 9, for 10% per slotted Support ability); It's also a nice emergency ultimate since you can shield you and up to other 5 people in case of emergency, for example tank or healer death, until you can get a resurrection. It suffices for 4 man dungeons or a trial sub-group that usually consists of 6 people.

So reviewing the rest, I will say that I like the simplicity, but seems like you only have a rough understanding of unorthodox healers. It's also just well shabby with all shabby with all copy and pasting. Still thanks for making them.

The nightblade healer hasn't got funnel health. It's literally the main skill that makes it a good dungeon healer.

Yeah they're basically just Templar trial healer builds with Templar skills replaced by the appropriate class healing skills.

I certainly appreciate the effort Alcast has gone to, but a little tweaking is needed based on real experience.

Just a quick one, regarding the 2H stam sorc, in an UNoptimiswd group scenario (i.e. a pug) would you go for 5x HR/SoA, 5x VO and trial greatsword or 5x HR/SoA, 3x VO, 2x Stormfist and a trial greatsword? The trade off being burst vs. sustain I imagine

    @Alcast

Regarding the templar tank, firstly; glad to see stuff like this coming around. Thank you :)

Second: why not slot blood altar? PTS has it actually being useful for once with a 28 m range and 45 second uptime. Could be worth a slot.

Also, something you may want to warn people of (especially with the wording in the guides, specifically sorc tank and templar tank) is that equilibrium halves healing and damage shield size for four seconds. Symmetry only has a 5 second uptime for the 28% cost reduction. I trust you know that, but others might not and half their efficiency.

Le me try to explain a few things. Yes the builds are quite identical to each other. I use the same gear because why not? I do state on my website that there is A LOT of good other combinations and list them even up. But the setups that I have make just the most sense (at least for me).

About "Diversity". I actually tried that once on stamina DD setups, equip each build differntly for videos. But then ppl were just really confused and started asking why you use this on that char and another setup on the other etc. That is why I kinda standardize the Gear and Skill setups. Most core skills are used in most builds, then you add the class skills. Also like I said, dont like a skill, swap it out.

Those new builds are the Version 1.0. Once I post the videos I do hope that ppl will give me feedback (will mostly only be QQ like always but w/e) so for the next Expansion I can gather better information, people with more experience for those setups and improve the builds. Most of those builds were already talked about in my discord and people found them nice.

The more builds I add, the harder it gets to keep them all updated, especially because i am a full time university student. I am also looking into creating "fire&forget" build, aka use DLC based gear setups for builds for that particular patch. I am sure tho then ppl will QQ why do I use those useless sets

@DocFrost72 I will add that about symmetry, good idea. Will do it when I have time again thanks

Well it looks like you didn't do any research or testing. It looks like what I could find on eso academy. ( We make jokes about this place)

If you need help. You could of looked for people. Or even looked a their guides. We are stepping on your toes because you don't do our classes justice. ( Saying we can't compete with orthodox counterpart ... probably set me off)) in fact...I am suddenly looking at skill adviser in a different light. >.>

Why use different gear. I already explained it. But let be more direct. They are different classes.
They have different passives. The skills scale differently.

Do you use the same skills on damage dealers? They are different classes. They have skills. A sorc healer using healing ward makes me laugh. What do you still believe it will die? Come on surely you seen these pets hold arrgo on some of meaniest bosses in the game. Back on point would use healing ward with your Templars? You wouldn't because it has breath of life. I don't have to explain to you it's stronger heal to use twlight. So back on point healing ward is not useful. Still though this just one issue of many.

It's fine though... like we said. Even if they are questionable, it's still presented in a easy way for people to adapt. Also anyone who is truly experience in these classes will appreciate the domino effect this will have later, so you have our thanks.

Did you ask main Templar healers? It looks like it was inexperienced healers that gave you advise.@Runefang even pointed out you are missing funnel health. I pointed out a tone of these and even let a few things go. But let mention, you got to much health on the sorc. You got bad ultimate choice. And obsession over healing ward which makes think it be used to cover lack of experience and research. You are right you don't have to care, but this the difference between a tv doctor and a real doctor.

Yeah stamina classes have almost no variety at all in terms of skills because there are so few stamina class skills. Magicka dps tend to be more varied since class magicka skills are more unique and powerful in general.

Healing, at least to me, is different to dps though because you should skill/gear for the content. DPS have to hit high dps regardless of content all that can change is how much penetration you need to bring. Healers have to keep group members alive and buffed, but once that's achieved they should be doing damage. So the amount of time they have to dedicate to dps depends mostly on the content (and somewhat on the group...).

Nightblade healers dominate at dungeon healing due to funnel health letting them do good dps and heals at the same time. My funnel health crit heals at 5-6k, that on its own is enough to heal 90% of the dungeons in the game. Do 4x FH and add combat prayer, refreshing path and blockade and you've got yourself a nice 8 second rotation in which you can hit decent damage while healing every group member with 3 different heals. Throw out elemental drain and siphoning strikes when required.

I'd never bring my nightblade healer to a trial, it simply loses its advantages over a templar/warden healer. My nightblade healer *could* do it, but there's no reason to when I have a templar healer anyway.

@Tasear @Runefang About the Funnel. I actually had that skill slotted at first. However, I took it away because I thought, a new player will most likely not understand why to use a DPS skill to heal your group. And will it be enough? Yes for you maybe because you are very experience, for him maybe not. I will write a comment about that skill on my page, so people see it as an option.

About the more Health, yes I am also aware of that, I also thought about tuning it down, but then if there are newer players to the game not sure if they notice when pet is RIP (because some ppl just spam 1 ability) and then they health will kinda drop too low? I didnt leave it there because "lazy", in the end i had to create each character on the pts and set it up, take screenshots of stats etc) I will also mention this on the site about the pet.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I think I would go with the 5x HR/ VO setup. VO set is in general really good as a Sorc as they have quite some hard times to sustain. The Stormfist combo also does sound nice tho because with a 2H kill you prolly will get up to around 1,3k stamrec.
Test it out and see which one "feels" better :)

Question.. I just started playing again and to refresh myself I started a khajit templar stam build bow / dw .. well once I level high enough.. I have maybe 150 cp... how and in what should I put my points into and for armor/ weapons what should I try

If you are new, make sure to find a newcomer guild, they are usually very helpful and will also craft you stuff if you give them the materials. On my build here for stamina templar: https://alcasthq.com/eso-stamina-templar-build-pve/
I run 5x Hundings Rage, 3x Agility, 4x Nightmothers. Basically the "starter setup". Agility is very cheap in guild store and the other two sets can be crafted by someone.

    Hi,

I don't run trials but have been playing since beta - I just wanted to put a counter view to some of the slightly negative statements in this thread. The content Alcast is putting out is great - sure uber trials people may have their own opinion but in which case why complain? Do a quick google for Dragon Bones builds and you will see there isn't really much out there of the quality and time that Alcast has clearly put in and that cover all classes. I'm all for constructive feedback and suggesting improvements to builds that are based on experience on the PTS but not negativity. Oh I can't wait for the updated Warden build for Dragon Bones

Oh a new player wearing worm and champion points... I see I see

Not really you don't mention are they were new player guides or you going to say it's both. Are you trying to introduce it to larger community? You really should be more clear, because at this point it looks sloppy compared to all others.

You aren't getting them ready to act with there peers. Maybe you should look at skill adviser? A new player and champion should get familiar with there class and gear.

Why don't use actually use dragon knight burst heal?

It's not about trials...in fact my build out there already is clearly about dungeons.

There's numberous of issue with these guides. I am just pointing out most glaring ones. To us it doesn't look like he tried. Have you looked at all copying and pasting? There's a clear lack of class experience going on here. But you know what really set me off ..scroll up and see him say something putting all non traditional roles in a bad light. I mean sure they can't compete if they use these builds. Why build something then insult it?

Thanks. I do not mind feedback at all, after all it is a build and should function as a "base" for a player. And I do think most players are happy with the quality of builds I put out there, sure they are not perfect, none build is because people always have diffferent opiniions, which is a good thing, more diversity in builds.
I am more triggered about players that keep being hostile even tho I clearly try to be polite (thats not directed to you). I guess some people are never pleased, whatever is being done haha

    Fine alcast,

I will walk away, I said what I need to say. Many things are overlooked and it's simply sad. But best of luck to you at least you bold enough to try.

Still working on builds. More will be added every day. MagDKs are still in a poop spot compared to other setups in a competitive environment.

Takes a while to get builds done as I have to set them up on pts (template), test gear and different setups (for some setups), take screenshots, write it up on website etc.

@Alcast Thanks for your work bringing us build suggestions each patch!

One quick question regarding the MagSorc DD non-pet build you just added. How did you get your health stat so high? In the screenshot it shows 16.3k Health. Did you use 1 health enchant? When I equip the listed armor pieces I’m only at 15.1k when using Witchmother’s Brew. That’s also with 5-1-1 setup and Undaunted passives.

    Thanks!

Awe ok cool. I can't imagine stams changed to much maybe acuity replacing hundings on nightblades and templars.
