Idk... if i engaged someone close to even a supposedly empty outpost, like Bleakers, like 20 ep would instantly come out and chase me for 5 mins to BRK.

Just why didn't you res yourself to that outpost? Why should anyone waste their gems, when you're so near that keep?

I never res any player, if keep is not under attack and they are within close range.

lol.. I love this post as it is so typical of all factions...
    On the flipside,
You chose to engage and lost,
don't point fingers now coz you lost in a 1v1 situation...

all thats left for you to do now is get the whole zerg of 50 to chase down the single ganker,
Kill him and then Tbag him...

    LMFAO!!

Honestly even If I'm in a group I don't expect help unless I'm in voice chat with them. Sometimes a lot is going on in PvP and unlike in PvE we don't know where the enemy is coming and going from so missing one ganker is definitely possible.

I'm going to be honest with you though, I'd prefer a rez over someone going out of their way to find the ganker that got me.

Duelers have a nice fancy arena in Stormhaven and can duel anywhere now they do not need to be clogging up queues in Cyrodiil or dueling next to keeps and expecting other players to know they are dueling or to care. Show no mercy because you will receive none. In my opinion if you see a fellow alliance member in trouble you should definitely help them. That being said if I see 2 people fighting and the DC player looks like he/she is holding their own and going to be victorious I move on, that victory is theirs. I also find it amusing that somehow aiding your allies means zerging people down. FYI we don't all run around in 24 man groups.

Except on NA/PC TF the 24 man DC group zergs down 1 player then 4-6 t-bag them like they did something impressive. BTW, I don't play trollish, do nothing block tanks.

Huh... never had this issue. I play all alliances on the same campaign..oh yes, and people can indeed get saucy about you switching your character one night to play with another alliance (If the campaign lag was sorted out I wouldn't be restricted to one!!) Either way if another player from the alliance kills me, I normally get a laugh from that player, or a shovel, but I am normally backed up instantly by other players, Noticed this while playing with my blue low level 31 last night, Struggling to keep myself alive from this red who is the highest champ rate and of course I know the end for this fight is me loosing...but it did not end like that .One blue noticed and pretty much brought the rest of them with him and slaughtered the red. It happened numerous of times, blues would appear out of no where and back me up... I hardly had to revive last night!

If I see other players 1v1 I normally stop to watch, I'm OK with that. I am not overly fond of alliances helping alliances though, as much as I can see the fact that you may have friends on the other side, you are playing for the alliance you are in. You are prepared to take down your friends and *enemies* either way. Occasionally if i notice a friend on another alliance we both will either attack instantly at each other or *shield* as in *no I will not fight with you* then we will totally ignore each other and fight someone else.

Its a tricky subject and depends on the players. If I saw you, I would revive you haha!

The problem with games like this, is they have a complete lack of a social environment. Games are way more fun when played with friends, whether it's on the net or in real life. It shouldn't be a chore to get organized to take keeps and have fun in the process. Unfortunately, it is, because MMORPGs have turned into a single player experience more than anything else. I suggest trying a survival game where if you are found alone, you will lose everything, so grouping is encouraged,

Eventually I detect him, and I engage.

This was your problem right here OP. This sounds like inexperience to me. It was not the best thing to put the blame on your alliance. This makes you look to be like some unintelligent buffoon.

You should sit back and reflect on this situation and ask yourself whether or not it was the correct decision to make. Let me give you an example of something that happened to me yesterday.

Was farming Arrius LM and I left once the party stopped. Took a back road to get back to BRK. I know Cyrodiil like the back of my hand, so not staying on the same route a bunch of EP just took to BRK, I assumed going out into the forests just south of Arrius would be my best bet for cover.

    I got ganked.

Long story short, there were 2 gankers. A EP and DC, EP got the win in on me since the DC engaged me first and got bursted down.

    But...
I could of won the fight if I had Healing Ward slotted. Re-spawned at BRK and then slotted it and went along my merry way without a word said since I already knew it was something I did wrong.

Honestly there were only 10 ep on the porch. EP players must get in groups of at least 30 players to take on a solo ganker. They wanted to help you but you know.... they couldn't plus running around light attacking all day is... so demanding.

On the other hand, I find it exceptionally annoying how any "even" fight that lasts longer than 20 seconds draws a crowd and becomes a question of numbers=win.

    How it USUALLY GOES:
You and the guy start fighting 1v1. After 10 seconds when you're at 20% health and he is at 50% health, ten of your friends jump in to kill him 11v1. Then you teabag him for 90 seconds while you regen your health back to full.

Cause trolling is the real end game of ESO.

You had a LEGIT 1v1 fight and lost. That's still a win. You got a legit 1v1 fight!
If I was in Cyrodil and saw one in my alliance was fighting an enemy I would help, only reason for not helping is he was hit by 3+ enemies and they would kill me after finishing him.
I would expect others to do the same its not trolling its helping in an war.

Some of you all's attitude here is so fake, there's no "honor" in letting a ganker 1v1 someone 20 yards from your keep, let alone a Khajiit healer! That's the stupidest thing I've heard. Chances are if you say you wouldn't help, it's cause you're afraid you'll get clip'd in a 1vX cause you're a baddie. The only reason I wouldn't help in this scenario is if I knew the ganker, otherwise I would have intervened no question about it.

We play on NA XB1 DC side, we usually have a lot of people doing resurrection, we are usually out numbered so everyone makes an effort to get the fallen back up as fast as possible.
My husband and I use NB, but with all the suicide ultra destroy bombers and sun shield Templars we have a snowball chance in hell if surviving, so we use a bow shoot something in the arss to tickle them make them giggle and let them know we love them, mist of the time we just stay crouched down and resurrect from the back as much as we can until we get one hit from another NB.
Yes we are crap players, and only 351cp so we are the easiest targets....

We needed stone kits to fix walls since we do not get much AP and we have a mage on AD side, we went in to get the quest and free AP so we could buy some stones and give to our DC mains.... What a difference a faction makes.... Everyone says thank you, everyone is polite and informative of where they are attacking or being attacked, no trolling each other in chat, or name calling, or things they like to do with each other's mother's etc... AD must be where the Adults play....
Sadly our mains are already up in the ranks and we are trying to unlock all the damn dyes so no use switching sides, and Poor AD never gets on the boards.

Conclusion DC us a bunch of snit nose murderous children, there is a few good people we have, like we stated above we do resurrect on DC, but some days just wanted to turn text chat off, but we can't due to in-between the insulation we get information about where to defend, and attack.

We played on ESO side, they are more organized, and a bit better in chat, but there is a lot of exploiters using hacks to phase themselves underground, and through keep walls and doors.... Maybe we are just to nice and don't care about competition for PvP, but we can't support a side that has to cheat to win.... We mostly doing PvP only to unlock the dyes, if ZOS would put all the dyes up for sale in the Crown Store we would just buy it and be done with it.

We have played every MMO since Meridian 59 and there is one common factor in any game that has PvP,.... It brings the worse out in players, it ruins PvE due to the nerfs making it go from few players able to take down bosses and mobs, to having a full group, making doing anything in game monotonous having a lot of down time trying to get a good group together.

ESO did do some things right, you do not have to be in a group to help other players, it's nice when I play my healer to be able to just run in and heal people even though I'm not grouping with them....
And for PVP I love the siege weapons, something very different from other mmo's, it feels realistic, someone took some time to get the feeling, and sounds down Of what a medieval war would sound like, eh... Minis the magic.

So there's your options, DC dedicated resurrection, AD politeness, EP Good tactics, very organized, but has exploiters and cheats.

Interesting insight. I've only ever had DC characters, so I don't know how the other 2/3 lives. I didn't know that about AD, so that's very nice. EP...can't say I'm surprised by that news.

The DC analysis seems pretty spot on. There's a lot of egos at play, I assume it's the same in any faction if you stick around long enough, but the zone chat peacocking has stepped up on DC's side. I stay out of it. Junior high school ended a long time ago for me.

Tbf if you where/are a healer, why would you try take a ganker out by yourself? I mean that's if your character is a Pvp healer.

Pvp healer with springs, regen etc will get decked by most ppl 1v1.

Edit: was gunna edit word decked to wrecked but it fits well too.

you know how zerglings work, he probably engaged the ganker by spamming ranged cc, while backpedalling to bleakers, hoping for some ep group to save him.

Now that I've properly calmed I guess I should try and reiterate my original intention in a not-so ragey way.

I just want PvP to be a good experience that keeps me involved y'know? Deep down I hate competitive Multiplayer, but this is an major part of the End Game so I want to participate. But the thing is this game's PvP is so god damned messed up compared to more contemporary shooters I'm more used to such as Planetside or Battlefield, though the latter is "large scale" it doesn't compare as much to ESO as Planetside does. Cyrodiil PvP has AMAZING potential to be a great Multiplayer setting, but it's almost completely ruined by what others call the "Meta" builds not to mention the "Meta" mindset that encourages one man Army, Rambo playstyles. In the setting of this game, Cyrodiil is supposed to be a Warzone. It is called an "Alliance War", isn't it? We're there to fight a War as a Military Force, but instead we have players that dilly dally at the Gate spawns, or stand around mindlessly in Keeps, or focus all of their attention on the Outpost someone owns way behind their lines. In a sense, nearly no one takes this game seriously except when it comes to their Proc Set Builds.

This is supposed to be a Military Conflict styled Multiplayer, I want to see my Alliance advancing down the Lattice, legit Siege when we get to a Keep Wall, keep their heads on swivels, respond to threats, secure the perimeters of our keeps and outposts if there is one, even if it is a lone ganker that no one cares about. If no one cares about it then more and more people are going to get ganked instead of arriving to help the next Siege or push. This is supposed to be a Warzone, what happened to "No one left behind"? That "1v1 me bruh" stuff shouldn't exist there, that's what the Dueling mechanic is for.

Honestly I knew I shouldn't have made the OP when the Salt was still freshly applied, I knew I'd get mocked and or trash talked for it, should probably change the title to something a bit less baity.

If I had moved away and back to the safety of the front door with the rest of the herd then the Ganker would still sit out there ganking other players just arriving to the Outpost and I'd just join what angers me. That doesn't fix the problem.
