Yes, in a nutshell, that's it.Uriel_Nocturne wrote: »@Vackler I'll have an invite out to you tonight!
@ATEK302 We're definitely not one of the Trading Guilds. We DO have enough members for a Guild Store, but it only serves to sell among otehr Guild members most of the time.
We did have a Guild trader for a week, but we weren't able to bid enough Gold to keep i longer than that. I won't ever force the members of this Guild to fork over a mandatory Guild Dues Fee, and thus all Gold the Guild has is by donation from our dedicated members. The flip side to that, is that the Guild doesn't generate a huge amount of income, thus getting a regular Guild Trader will not be possible except for once in a while. But then, that wasn't ever the focus of this Guild.
But I thank you and your wife for your interest in us, and I will definitely get you both invites this evening!
So if we have mats and gear, we can sell it in the guild bank? I'm sorry, I'm very new to this game. Just trying to get better at making gold. Heard selling was a good way.
@Violynne Yup, millions.Millions???!!!
A light bulb just went off in my head. Now I'm starting to understand why people get upset with undercutting prices. They're not necessarily selling at ridiculous prices. They're selling to keep the store open. I'm sure these fees are quite high to offset the millions needed to keep one running.
What a mind-numbing way to run commerce. I suppose most MMOs run this way, foolish as it is.
I can definitely understand your reasoning for not putting yourself under that type of pressure, or put it on your members.

And it's that ebb and flow of prices vs. demand that lets the market regulate itself. But it's that competition for the most choice Trader kiosks that has driven up the cost of trader bids. If you want your Guild to sell the most items at the best prices, your Guild has to pop for the best spots.
Trading Guilds are great for enriching yourself (if you keep coming across items that other players really want/need) and enriching the Guild Master's of such trading Guilds, but they require a TON of work on the part of the Guild Leadership.
I have no real desire to enrich myself in digital Gold, but instead want to help the masses of Solo Players enjoy the game more, and to have support when they need it that also fits within and works well with a Solo Player style and mindset.
Thus, I designed The Nightshade Consortium as I did.

@ATEK302 I really have no rhyme or reason for the rankings. Void Scion gets you access to the Guild Bank and Guild Store, so every member is at least that rank. As for promotions, I generally promote when someone donates quite a bit to the Bank or donates Gold pretty regularly, or helps out with the random Guild Dungeon Runs.
So, it's kind of... random for promotions.
Uriel_Nocturne wrote: »@ATEK302 I'll promote the two of you when I get on tonight then. As far as getting a couple Guildies to help out, right now the game limits us on that. About the best way (I would say) would be to message a higher CP Guild Member, and see if they would be willing to run through it with you.
I have never personally been through any but a small handful of the dungeons in ESO, otherwise I'd offer to help you myself. But my lack of knowledge would probably be a hindrance more than anything.
