Maintenance for the week of November 18:
[IN PROGRESS] PlayStation®: EU megaserver for maintenance – November 19, 23:00 UTC (6:00PM EST) - November 20, 17:00 UTC (12:00PM EST) https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/668861

Most Forgiving Class

EdgarLecter
Most forgiving, easy, op, etc.. Whatever you name it. What i mean is a class build that wont punish you when you don't look at your resources, a build that wont punish you when you are out numbered(cloak, streak, etc.), a build that doesn't necessarily do high damage with low affort but can put out below decent damage with little to no affort.

Of course a player who needs a build like this doesn't search for 1vx situations, so being a little bit useful in zergVzerg situations while surviving is this person's aim. What are your suggestions ?
Thank you.

    Forgiving?

Hmm.... Magicka Templar has massive heals, so possibly them.

In the past I would've said Magicka Sorc due to shieldstacking, but those shields are not what they used to be. Two half-decent players can tear you to pieces if you don't CC/LoS them.

What do you think of magicka nightblades ? I know they don't have resource and escape problems but do they have enough self heal ?

They can be very powerful played by a skillful player.

Not exactly forgiving at all imo though.

Agreed, difficult to play but extreemly rewarding if you´re good at them in PvP

Magicka templar, stam sorcs, and stam nightblades, all very forgiving in solo play and pvp. Magicka templars just need to be calibrated right for pve dps tho.

Depends - Mag!Plar has good burst heal, yes, and purify (though people forget how many debuffs even ONE person can put on you nowadays) - but if you really put a mag!Plar on the defensive that's all s/he gonna do - fully defensive mode until either 1. they run out of resources OR 2. their friends show up.

Oh yeah - there's also the option that the people you're fighting are really newbie then maybe you can go defensive for a bit then fully offensive and smack them, but that is a big IF and 99.99% of the time that requires Vampire and not all of us choose to get Vampire because we think it's easy mode/selfish.

You tell me when is the last time you saw a non-Vampire small scale Magicka Templar run around in Cyro? I can only think of ONE regular PvP'r on PC/NA doing that.

Also - Sorry - but if you get killed in Cyro by an "immortal" Templar that can "face-tank zergs" then it's definitely l2P. lol
    ***
PvP aside - I would definitely say that stamina has a very steep learning curve and I would NOT recommend going Stam to a new player.
If you're just faffing around in open world and starting out, then either magicka NB or magicka Templar for starters. Although I personally think that Magicka DK has a really good spot too. Mag NB would definitely be my first recommendation because of how the skills are set-up as you level-up and better sustain.

Once you are there and have decent CP then Stamina Sorcerer is just easy-mode. If you have really good gear then it's utterly face-roll.

Basically - it all depends on what you want to do. Just don't forget, whatever you do - always have fun! :)

I have to disagree with "stam nightblade"... depending on your build, those can be super squishy. Awesome fun, but not forgiving for an unskilled player.

I recently started a stam sorc alt, and with heavy armor, she's pretty much untouchable even at low levels. So yeah, add my vote to that one.
    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

(Signature idea shamelessly stolen from Abeille.)

Yep, the most easy way is magicka templar, but as a magicka templar you will soon realize how few defensive tools you have and how clunly and unreliable your damage is.
Easy to start, hard to climb the pedestal.

    Not nightblades.

You can excel with a NB, but if you make a mistake you can be dead very fast. If we are talking solo questing, group content, or pvp, the other classes provide good opportunity to survive mistakes and still win the fight.

I find magicka templar healer to be difficult to play in PvP group situations because you are the first to be targeted so for me this is anything but a forgiving class. I can only play it if I am with other healers or am teamed with players who will protect you.

For me stamina sorc is the most forgiving, though some players might make fun of you for choosing to play it because some in the community consider it easy mode nowadays.
