Some of us can't play every day, and we might not be able to complete the achievements due to this bug. We were told that we'd get a hotfix, but that hasn't happened.

Mark me down as being disappointed.

The silence from the devs is just unbelievable.... I don't think they truly grasp why this bug and the limited time of the Witches Festival have us so concerned....
It's a little fuzzy, but ... I think I drank so much I couldn't pay my tab. If I'm remembering it right, I said something like, "This crappy quartz thing thing should cover it, catman!" -- Rollin

Whoever advises/directs @ZOS_GinaBruno & co to hold their silence really needs to reconsider that strategy. I understand they answer to somebody else, and I respect that the team (tech and community) are doing everything they can, but even if they don't have anything to offer, acknowledging us is a start, heck even telling us they're further delayed would be a major relief. The silence, however, is extraordinarily poor and unprofessional. Opening a forum for the developers to speak with the community completely voids any excuse to keep silence in these matters, especially when they claim it was to be fixed this morning... and then wasn't.

So disappointing! I have 11 to go and was gonna finish up an alt through the festival end date. Now that looks to be a long grind with (at least) 2 less nights to farm. In this case I think an extension of the event is justified.

Right. Bedtime, and call me an eternal optimist, but I wholly expect the bug to be fixed when I get back in, oh, 16 hours or so. Because you wouldn't run a holiday event with a bug for three straight nights. Right, Zenimax?

    It'll never happen!

It occurs to me that the reason there is no news as yet on this bug is due to the fact the dev team have absolutely NO clue as how to fix it. This is usual when you skimp on decent coders. One has to wonder why we even bother with this game anymore. It is just one balls up after another. Each maintenence downtime takes longer than it should and every time they 'fix' something, they break something else!

ESO is supposed to be an enjoyable game, but where is the joy when the whole thing is constantly buggered by incomepetent coders, inept managers and a PR department full of people who obviously do not care? Case in point! We were told 'soon' many hours ago, and no news since. This is disresectful to their customers ( us ) and if we had any brains, we would vote with our wallets and cacel our subs ( already cancelled mine ).

ZOS are taking the *** out of us, and like passive idiots, we are letting them do it to us!

Problem is, not enough customers here have the cajones to stand up to it. Too many sycophant fanboi's in the game who see it as their ( somewhat misguided ) duty to defend ZOS at all costs, thus dismissing our concerns and marginalising our complaints!

If anyone feels as I do, feel free to message me. Not enough pressure is put on ZOS about this and we need to do something before ESO is further turned into unplayable smeg!

We'll have some news regarding the fix for this soon - hang tight for a little bit longer.

Sorry to seem impatient @ZOS_GinaBruno, but 6 hours have now elapsed since this message was posted, it's been more than 24 hours (nearly 36) since this bug was reported, and I see nothing new on the Dev Tracker.

Can we please have some information to update us on what is being done?

I don't actually have a massive problem with bugs - these things sometimes happen. But the lack/timeliness of some communication grates somewhat.

Yep that's me. There is a big chance that I won't be able to complete this achievement if I the counter isn't fixed by Thursday.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I've been playing this game since beta, and I had hope that there would be some sort of change in the development and maintenance process. This is the first MMO title that ZoS has published so I gave them the benefit of a doubt and understood that there would be a learning curve for their developers and the whole team. It's been three years, and they still don't have a stable work flow (maintenance included). Some might say that they probably don't have the funding to hire more employees (developers, Q&A, customer representatives, GMs, etc.) ever since ESO switched from subscription to free to play, but the thing is that is simply not true. The business model for free to play with an online game store is more lucrative than having a business model that relies on subscriptions. That being said, ZoS has no excuse on that front.

I also understand that they just released One Tamriel which re-vamped a lot of major game mechanics. As a game developer, I totally get that alone is a huge undertaking. However, they might have released it a little too soon. It is simply a bad idea to release such a massive patch only a week away from a NEW holiday event. Was One Tamriel properly and extensively tested with the new holiday event? Given ZoS' current track record, we as the consumers, might never know. Yet again, this reflects a poor work flow and lack of proper quality control (what are your quality testers doing?).

What really irritates me is the lack of transparency ZoS has with its customers. The vague maintenance messages, patch notes being released AFTER the patch, the lack of maintenance time frame (mainly how long a maintenance service will take), vague hot fix messages from community managers, lack of official responses to unscheduled down time messages and issues in the ESO social networks, the lack of messages directly from developers concerning past and current issues... All this is really just the tip of the proverbial ice berg. However, every MMO out there addresses these things. I cannot fathom why ZoS does not.

I'm currently in the process of putting together a show piece for SMOSH games that will focus on ESO, ZoS and these ongoing issues as well as an article for IGN and Destructoid. Hopefully, this will make future consumers think twice about purchasing this game until ZoS gets their act together. The ESO community as a whole deserves a little gratitude from ZoS for our patronage, and I'm not talking about getting free in game items for all the crap that's happened (although I'm sure many of us here would not complain)... I'm simply talking about better customer relations and service. Talk to us. A little transparency goes a long way.

Oddly I've been reloading the Dev Tracker page all day and nothing after Gina's 9:18 a.m. (Pacific Time) post showed until after I clicked that link and read the announcement through your quote (now at 6:20 p.m.). Then all the sudden it shows on Dev Tracker.... things are really odd here.
