Good 5 piece set for Magplar (PVP)?

You can't kill anyone with BoL either. If you want to be an all defense healer then no, Soulshine is not for you. If you want high damage on a magicka Templar's primary DPS skills, Soulshine is a good choice if you want heavy armor. For the record, Soulshine should proc on Remembrance too.

I reckon 90% of magplars will be running SOULSHINE for the simple reason, it will buff radiant destruction, dark flare, jabs and probably other spells i forget. Not by just a little, by alot. Its gonna be ridiculous. @Wrobel

Reaper's March, but don't forget that everyone will be in a single instance so you will have a lot more players in each area.

This set is suppose to come in all weapons/shield/armor (heavy)/jewelry as well I assume?

For pvp I think you're fine. For pve I run either 5 Julianos 3 willpower 2 Kena 2 torugs or5 Julianos 3 willpower 3/4 aether

Same here, but I sometimes feel like I miss that extra damage. So, I wonder if I could swop my second 5 piece set for something that will give me more damage.

I can't because my other two transmutation pieces are chest and legs. It's what I had.

Finally, someone mentioning PVE as well I have been thinking about your setup but I find myself struggling with resources in vet maelstrom. Mind, I have not done it much, so I am not an expert on my Magplar. What if I swapped the 2 torugs and 1 undaunted set for 3 piece Transmutation for the extra regen? Or maybe 3 willpower for 3 Transmutation? I'd lose magicka and spellpower but I'd gain regen and would have half of what I lose in spellpower back with 2 Torug Swords... But then, Swords are not the way forward for PVE? Maybe I should have a fire-staff on backbar?

For pvp, I don't think you can beat Kags in all honesty. Kags and trans is solid. You could swap skoria for 1 kena and keep one skoria for the health. Or 2 Kena and proc it with a resto (if you use one).

I could try 1Kena and and another undaunted piece. I am tempted by Haj Motas (which gives 1376 spell and physical resistance). But I should try 2 Kena and proc it with my swords while in combat. I've got really high regen so I don't think the extra 30% spell cost is going to be an issue. Besides I wear 7 pieces light. Although I get the feeling that Skoria will outperform Kena in Patch 12

For pve, skoria will be better than kena. Kena can be good for burst.

Next patch, there's a lit of new monster set combo's coming anyway. Magica regen and max magica 1 pieces as well as some interesting 2 piece bonuses.

Yes I know. There is 1 set in particular that will be a must on my Magicka Sorc. But as far as Magplar is concerned, Skoria will be it. Over 20k single target flame damage (+high AOE dot) is just too good to pass, both in PVE and PVP.
