mDK isn't dead. It just severely underperforms in solo open world. I have no doubt that a skilled player can 1vX on a mDK, but I am certain you'd have an easier time on any other class. There's literally nothing that mDKs do that isn't done better on another class.

Dude that was a level 26 in the first clip and your whip is hitting for 2300... My Stam dk dizzy swing hits for 11k crits. I would have dropped that 26 in hardly even a second. Magicka Dk is far from back man

Compared to the last couple of patches it's making a comeback I never said that it was at its Peak Performance again

I actually have 2 Dk's. One magicka and one stamina. My magicka Dk I'm using 5 piece elegance, 5 piece vicious death w maelstrom lightning staff and maelstrom resto staff. This build is super fun. The aoe is Insanity so it works really well in group play. Also Regen isn't needed because it's a heavy attack build. This so far has been the only viable build for magicka Dk in pvp that I've found and I've used kags light, kags heavy, dual wield, sword and board, inferno staff, julianos light, julianos heavy, bloodspawn, malubeth, molag Kena, and willpower sets trying to find something worthy of 1vX. Just never ends up in my favor on a magicka Dk. On my Stam Dk, I can wreck 2 or even 3 players depending on their player skill.

Try out stamina and you will see what I mean. And I love the magicka Dk. It's just not that great right now for real.

MDKs and magicka in general is still very strong just know a player has to know what they are doing that's all.

To be clear to the OP, I meant no disrespect by my post. If you are having a ball then that's the best anyone can hope for and glad you are having fun seriously.

I unfortunately had loved playing my Magica Sorcerer in PVP and had only gotten decent with her just before the bottom dropped out of being competitive in PVP with the Stamina domination patches recently. I dont want to be OP, just competitive so have to shelve her. I'[ve respecced no less than ten times and tried everything.

Again if you are having fun awesome. And you may want to limit your time on these(&almost any) forums. They can be toxic to the soul seriously.

I think I'll stick with my group play build and VMA weapons. Poisons drain magicka ridiculously fast on a magicka Dk. Plus my build I literally don't need any Regen. My lightning staff Heavy attacks crit players for 6k every tick and even more when they drop below 25%. To Regen magicka all I have to do is hold right trigger (Xbox one) and use mutagen (crit from VMA resto staff) and harness magicka. I literally don't fall below 50% magicka. It's sort of a broken build lol

Definitely. Maybe I should've worded my thread differently. I forgot how toxic the forums can get lol. Nevertheless seeing mDKs at least on xb1 is a rare sight, and seeing good ones is an even rarer occasion. I just figured I'd post and show that with 2 mDKs and a healer what can be done at least in no CP campaigns. My guild has a blast and we've never ran into a situation where being outnumbered deterred us from fighting.

Thought people would just accept it for what it is and enjoy the video. Btw, apparently 50 cent is too much for ZOS to handle. Got a PM that the video has too much vulgar language in it lol. Maybe when they fix the game I'll take my music selection more seriously.

I killed a magicka sorc that ambushed me today outside Bleakers while I was standing around hoping to test my new build on my mDK with only 10 minutes before I had to go to work today.

I killed him when he didn't notice my phoenix set proc'd with Soul Shatter and then shielded up and Soul Striked him.

Cheapest kill I ever got. He was so confused that I actually explained what happened in /r because I felt so bad, as he assumed he'd gotten ZOSed with some new bug.

Rating mdk on everything 1vx 1v1 group etc they still lack something. They dont heal others particularly better then any other resto staff class, their cc ash cloud has very limited range, same with talons. Wall of elements/ heavy attack lightning staff is kinda badass but have to dedicate an entire build to it with no shield, anything they can do another class has a better ability to use.

1vx /1v1 relies on resource drain/keeping dots up. The bread and butter spammable dps flame has a low base attack value. Any burst dps has been limited/nerfed to nothing for 1v1. You can still zerg bomb (real fun) to good effect but once you get focused reflect wings start failing and 4 snipes=death. All the stats are on par with other classes, but it equates to putting a supercharger on a moped.

Templars can heal to full in 2 gcd, stam classes rally/vigor/ health regen can outpace long duration dots. Lower dot duration on magika morphs could help (make 5pc elfbane less duration instead of more= stronger dmg ticks, better yea?) or apply defile to dk dot abilities in some way. And FFS Dragonsblood needs fixed. Either vigor type HoT for magika or higher % heal.

mag dk has been viable in group play for awhile. the issue is keeping up in solo play.

additionally, mag dk can be good in bwb or with no cp because you can actually run people out of resourves. mag dk is about sustained fights which was great before champnpoints. with cp people don't run out of resources and they lack the burst to viable fight solo.

last, you could seeven the inexperience with the people you were fighting against which is more common in bwb
