eso sewers etiquette...

one thing really pissing me off lately is leveling.. not just that one of the only decent places to go after v14 is sewers but the fact that there are always someone ganking. I am fine with someone trying to take my stones from me when i am on my geared v16 chars ready for a fight but ffs when a person on a low char that's worth nothing to you leave him the hell alone! what do you have to prove? killing someone trying to level up up sewers from stealth with your group pf 4 is not impressive.. it's being a c*nt

PvP is PvP, the only etiquette is kill before you are killed. Level in Wrothgar if you don't want to get ganked.

I agree with the OP.

However, if you are going there to level, then in order to minimize your stress, fire up Skype (really, I'm going somewhere with this) and then when you get that little "rectangle" that says your call is in process, move it to the lower right corner of your screen to cover up the current listing of your telvar stones.

do not think about TV stones

Do not count them.

You are there ONLY for XP.

Then ganking will be much less stressful.

I don't agree, and this is coming from someone who undoubtedly has set THE standard for being ganked. It's a PVP area. Most of this game caters to PVE. All PVP has is IC and Cyrodiil, which is kind of a mess. I never get upset when I get ganked or brutalized by a group, because I know I'm taking that risk when I wander in there. I actually like the element that it adds to the game, because the PVE content is almost too easy for the most part. I'm not sure how someone would be expected to know that you are just there to farm XP anyway, even if there was some kind of proscribed etiquette for PVP.

thanks for the tips but its not about the stones, with the downtime and fighting constantly there is next to no xp gain ever

if they are not v16 and don't jump you when you are near them... chances are they do not want to fight, it's easy

I feel for you, OP, but you won't see much mercy. I love running through enemy sewers with guns blazing. I shoot first, ask questions never. On the plus side, I never use stealth cheese so you might at least see me coming and have a chance to duck and run. :P

Seriously though, getting killed isn't much of a setback, and you can always whisper the person after and ask if they wouldn't mind leaving you alone to grind. Most people are pretty cool about it.

Why should anyone check the level of an opponent? If they are an opposing faction, kill them. I don't see how that is debatable in a PvP zone.

If I die in a PvP zone, which often happens because of my lame skills and half-hearted build, I accept that it is what happens in PvP. If I am ganked, I think 'I should have been more careful'.

Etiquette is no rude tells. No such thing as combat etiquette. Just survive.

I don't know each to his / her own however i will tell you what ive done

Few weeks ago I was farming in sewers alone and i came across the blue enemy as i knew we were both farming allot of telvar instead of fighting him i placed "hello" (not sure if he can see it) and i jumped up and down and start shooting staff towards the enemy so he can see it and we were farming together for a while each took turns in opening chests ect so that was fun in the end we waived goodbye and went our separate way.

I dont mind losing my stones when leveling in the sewers. Its part of the game and i usually only bank them when i have between 2k or 3k stones. What does annoy me is the wasted scroll time and what annoys me the most is when i get revived or run back the same ganker kills me again... what is the point? You already have the stones, atleast let me farm some new stones/xp before you kill me again. I get the xp i want and you get the stones you want... its a win win situation basically.

yup, they go there to kill peoples low level toons cause they are crap on cyrodil

I think there is definitely an etiquette to follow once your good enough.

Don't attack first if it's 1vs1... let them take the challenge if they want to.
Don't pick on low bies... but if they accept a duel or attack you then by all means...
/tell __________, GF (insert commentary here) after you congratulate your own genius.

If ganked... I hunt that person down using whatever means I can. and continue to kill said player 2-3 times till they catch the hint.

If beaten I congratulate the victor, and seek to pick his/her brain for tips as to how to improve my build/counter his/her
Then promptly offer to kill his friends to assert his dominance.

And to those that "don't mind losing their stones" I'll be accepting your donations on NA/haderous server on Broken'stick

Ofcourse i prefer to keep my stones but when i level in the sewers and get good xp i dont rage about it. Losing my stones is the risk i take when i want to gain good xp, trophies and if possible stones.

I also did the ganking myself, i spared nobody in the sewers because i needed stones to buy mats when they were still expensive. I did however just kill them once and not over and over again since i didnt gain anything from doing that. I went on my NB, went to my home and guest campaign, ran over to blue grind spot and killed the people there. I banked my stones and relogged on another char to do something else.

Its a war, if you dont like that dont go there. I really like PS4 NA about this aspect most people are faction loyal and really cant stand the rival factions players. I think that is what makes this game so fun.

Molag Bal is my enemy, he is your enemy.. the enemy of my enemy is my friend which basically makes us bff's while in the sewer!

PvP is war . You're asking for people to have mercy in a war zone . I in fact had this very discussion with my son and told him to buck up . Do not get angry for someone playing the game the way it was meant . Go to a PvE area . It may take longer , but that's at least an option . Another is to group up before charging in . It's petty to insult players playing a game as intended with insults .

Sewers are decent, but Wrothgar or Hew's Bane are just as good really. There are other spots, but depends on your starting alliance.

Your level is irrelevant, I have been beaten by low levels in IC.

In a PVP area, if I see an enemy, I kill the enemy. If you are of a different faction to me, you are an enemy. If you don't like that, get out of the PVP area.

Actually not true at all their a lot of good and high ranking players who gank or have gank people in the Sewers.For example King Richard and @Sypher have all wiped groups of farmers in the sewers.So saying only people who suck in overtop cyrodiil gank people in the sewers is false and far from the truth many good players have done and still do it.
