Dueling magicka templars with proxy det

I ve had enough of this proxy det ,topling charge,puncturing sweeps combo on the beginning of every duel.This combo is unstoppable.And the people who do this also cheat,they start on dueling in their own,stun you with the sweeps,and then the proxy det finishes you,all this in no more than 4 5 seconds.
No im not a dk tank,im a stamblade,and i can understand that their damage output is sky high,but this,this is outrageous.Zero time to react.I do also know that im a good player,above average,nothing else,im not sypher,so it may be my lack of skills that lead me to believe this combo is op.
At any rate,just wanted to share my experience,and possibly find a solution while discussing this issue with you guys. ☺

The op one, you know, the one that makes you immune to fear and allows you to cc people through block and increases the damage of your next radiant opression by 9000%.


But seriously, I don't feel that weak compared to templars. You can block toppeling charge and proxi, you can use bombarde to keep him in place, you can simply fear him as soon as he charges to you, you can use shadow image to get out of his sweep, you can use shuffle against the snare.

prox's damage against single target is going to be lowered by 45% with the db patch. So you should be fine

Stamblade complaining about a tenplar having too much damage, for real. With your surprise attack that can be animation cancelled and hit 7/8k each time and fear and cloak and dodge roll and shuffle. Just because one person beats you doesn't mean their op is just means your build doesn't counter everything out there and that's how it's meant to be. Every build has a weakness

Well considering before the actual fight starts the templar shouldn't have proxy on, proxy then takes 8s to go off.

Use impen mr glass canon.

Lol the real OP combo would be dark flare, top, sweep. Or DF, javelin, Jesus beam. I can proc alchemist, might of the guild with inner light (empower), then launch 15k flares.
Personally, the best way I see this avoided is just to apply keep the pressure up so we can't cast because our main heavy hitters are channeled abilities that can be interrupted or just plain dodged. Stay right in front using wrecking blow or whatever CC you use every 4 seconds. Once you see he's out of stamina stun and WB/soul harvest/executioner.

didnt you know, anything that doesnt die to you mashing your attack without any other mechanics in play is broken op? if this guy has to block something the game is broken. nb should always win and never have to use any mechanics.

OP should carefully read the used skill descriptions and then see how to counter them.. it's obvious he doesn't know the exact effect, which is probably why he's finding it hard to counter.

ie.
- sweep: doesn't stun/disorient at all.. only thing it does is a short snare on the last hit of the channel
- toppling charge: gapcloser with knockdown, the telegraph is quite clear and it's not a super fast animation, so it's easy to hold block when the templar does it, which will negate the knockdown effect. (other way to counter it, is to stand on a tiny tiny tiny pebble and the templar will probably get stuck in the animation )
- proxy det: rightfully getting re-adjusted next patch, 8s delay, so start counting when the templar activates it.

With respect, if you're only landing 15k DF with Alchemist proc you need to re-think your build or change the pots you're using. I'm landing 12.5k DF and not an Alchemist proc in sight. You could perform better by dropping that 2.5k extra damage and getting yourself some better sustain and resource pool.

Anyway back on topic; I feel this is just an issue of needing to build your Stam NB OP. I run a Magicka Templar and, honestly, Stam NBs are my worst nightmare. As previously mentioned a simple block at the start, fear and then cloak would turn the tide of the battle in an instant. Stam NBs can simply just CC until the Templar's stamina has reduced enough then they fear again, jump on them and good night. Your skills are far out-performing the damage that any other class is dishing out, bar Snipe and RD. Your SA spam even out-DPS' the tryhard "Time for me to proc alchemist and spam wrecking blow, yay!" tactic.

Re-think your battle strategy OP.

In addition to this; if you're concerned about RD at all the answer is simple. No doubt you're running Bow like every other Stam NB in existence; Venom Arrow. Or if you're not, cloak is stupid in the sense that it can cancel RD and even cancel the burst from a Meteor. Start running yourself Mag/Stam recovery drinks and get yourself some Cloak/Fear spam on the go whilst dishing out your ridiculously unnecessary burst damage.
