20k + radiant destruction? GTFO ZOS

That 20k radiant is also over time, not one large burst. It was also only allowed to reach that much damage because you were being damaged by one or more other players at the same time. You can get 23k Jbeam ticks. On low health only tho in PVP. You prolly could get 30k ticks if you are lucky and fully buffed by grp buffs.

Had a few 23k frags as well on my sorc.
Do I have to play a cheesy wb spam dk build to kill temps and sorcs now?

Hit someone for 32k with a heavy attack before they changed molten armorments. They had1% health on a crit.

OP is kinda right tho. As a stam sorc having those beams on you is really tough. The time my charges need to arrive at the target beaming me, is often enough to just make me go boom, when theres other dmg coming in.

I really do feel for you templar guys for several shortcomings, but that thing is just an abomination. It hits those hardest who have the toughest time anyways - no shields or cloak to panic button out of it.

Theres nothing at the moment in pvp, nothing that i fear as much as jesus beam, because it makes outnumbered fights close to impossible - being a solo stam sorc. Reason is a stam sorcs hp bar naturally bounces back and forth in any fight, means even in fights that are won I will drop low more than once in controlled evironment.

Jesus beam hardcounters that playstyle, even going big on hp since the execute sticks. Thats really, really unfortunate and you might want to show some understanding that it is a bit over the top against some setups?

Radiant is supposed to be Magic Templars counter to stamina dodge roll builds (it's the only skill they have that will reliably hit you, everything else they do can be dodge-rolled or reflected). That's why it's undodgeable. The Rock/Paper/Scissors gameplay is intended. You can still beat them with skillful play and proper use of CC and interrupts but some classes are intended to be hard for you. Also, as ZOS does not want people 1vXing and Jbeam might have been their intended counter to that.

Stam sorc are kinda rough atm. But there are still counters to everything. Just a question of what you bring to the fight.

There is huge trade off if you're gonna go with a RO build. I can ninja kill 50 people in 10 minutes in IC ... UNTIL ... a stamina build finds me and 2 shots me with wrecking blow. I'm a nightmare for other magic players or stam players who don't have a gap closer. I am easy pickings for a WB spammer.

It's a give and take.

Step 1: Be any class and any race you want.
Step 2: Enter PvP battle.
Step 3: Don't get into execute range.
Step 4: Profit.
