Are we forgetting Hova? I felt like Hova was pretty good.
And when we say top DKs, do we mean people that pvp on only the most populated and laggy servers? I've seen really good players that deserve credit but don't since they don't play with "L1" guilds. Not that these people don't deserve it, of course. :P

OK....
1. for me is a Mr. Patrick Scott. He didn't play as often as a lot of other names, but some of the things I saw him do where just unbelievable. Things no one else did.
2. Would be Benom. Could be Vort, who is my favorite YOLO DK in the game and my favorite person to fight stupidly next to outside a keep that was about to light....but there was a window where I think Benom was the best Magica DK Tank in PVP. Honestly.

Now when I think of DK's I think of DC. And swampy got it right above this...

3. Hova. I've heard people argue that he was the third best DK in NM by some players....I don't really know, since NM had very strong DK's. All I know is this....if you were an EP playing on Chillrend and having fun, the second you saw him running in you knew the fun times were ending.
Always reminded me of the Star Wars... "You mean the emperor is coming here?" line. Def channeling some dark side.

4. Skaffa. This is a personal choice. Hehe. His stam build he brought out when 1.6 dropped basically pioneered every broken stam mechanic in the game that every stam build was using 3 months later. Which is not a word against him. He tested hard in PTS and knew what worked before almost anyone. He figured it out. Also.... he killed me in EVERY 1v1 I ran into him during 1.6. He was a terror.

Lastly.....

5. Xylena. Because.....Xylena.

Honorable mention goes to Yoyuyi, who I saw late and is an unkillable monster. And a shout out to the most reliable foot soldier in the history of DC, Deepsea. If DC told him to go head first solo against a full raid defending a resource he would do it. You could almost see his toon grinning.

The struggle i put into not listing myself was astronomical. These are the guys that inspired me to ditch the OG Fluffykins templar.

Casuale. First PvPer to get to the rank of Palatine. It took him 2 months. Probably earned 900k a day while he played. Only person I know of to get 1,000,000 AP in one day playing entirely solo. Was once the highest ranked player in the game. Was the best PvPer in the game and he ran with an un-minmaxed character. It was his skill that made him amazing.

Permared. Amazing with mechanics of the game. The only time he lost emperor was when the server literally crashed because there were too many people in one keep, trying to dethrone him. Also was once the highest ranked player in the game after Casuale quit.

Fireshot. Was far the best DK emperor without vampire. Fabulous leader. He only lost if it was 12v200. Shared the highest rank on the server after Permared quit.

Luvboard. Best theory crafter in the game. Anything he discovered as OP, was immediately nerfed. Designed how the DK was supposed to be played for optimal performance.

Naw Sunrest. The Blue version of Permared.

All of these DKs only fought in groups of 8-16 and only lost if they were outnumbered 1-30.
This DK dynasty took place in the first 6 months of the game. If you don't know of them its because you're a noob. Literally.

These threads are ridiculous. How about they buff Magic DK to be compeitive. Lol. Stam DK is effective but uses almost no class abilities. The easy mode for NB and Sorc needs to end. ZOS needs to balance the game. Having a bunch of OP no skill NB try and pretend the DK class is fine... idiotic.

That would be cool man except I've seen half the world already, stationed in Germany and due to the deployment I seen parts of africa... just need to get to the Asian side of it. I'd offer you to hop on a c130 but well im no AC and its abit loud ... and cold sometimes too, the life style isnt for some. Not to mention the restroom. Also the pressure will get people sick first time.. Thanks for the offer tho

Thing I hate about these kinds of topics, or the mentality of PvP in general, is the sycophancy it breeds. I acknowledge that some players are way beyond my skill level but just the other day we (me and about six other guild members) started receiving threatening and insulting whispers just because we took a few keeps and defended our resources.

I found the engagements to be fun until one of the players started flaming me out of nowhere and saying his/her ally could destroy me in a duel, that I'm worthless and she [his/her ally] is God (I'm paraphrasing). Sure, maybe they could, but I don't really care to find out. A V4 versus a V16? Hardly balanced for a start when said person probably has over 3000 CP and I have... 100. So it wouldn't prove anything other than how disparate the PvP system is: it's less about skill and more about how long you've played the game.

Just reading the whispers I received made me think I was playing Call of Duty against one of the many ill-disciplined children that frequent those games. I had honestly hoped the ESO community was more mature than that but obviously not.

I'm saying this because I though the MMO community had moved beyond 12 year old kids screaming down the mic. over losing, loosely speaking. I actually found the whispers hilarious, which is why I decided to mention them because this seemed perfectly relevant given that one of the perpetrators is mentioned in this thread.

Trust me, I'm not offended or upset by what was said, in fact I welcome it as entertainment, but I had higher expectations from the community given the maturity of the guilds I'm in. It's the sycophancy I saw in-game that irks me, maybe because I personally hate all forms of idolatry.

Why is it bizarre? I know where the line is drawn between playful banter and messing around, to actual snide insults. The latter don't offend me, they make me laugh.

I don't like idolatry, I believe it invokes irrational bias and I strive to be rational. The sycophancy came in the form of someone levelling a character up to V16 with the possessive form of someone else's name, probably with the sole purpose of supporting that one person. If their entire life on ESO is spent following someone else around, cool, but when I and many others received the vitriol that we did it's not surprising it's the result of that one person's sycophancy, hence why I don't like it (it invokes irrationality).

Xbox One Europe:
DC - HellPearl - definitely best DK on EU. His stamina DK is just unstoppable and he has (atm) top1 VMA score. Really dangerous kid.
AD - Lord Kissar - yellow really struggle with good DK's and this guy is probably the best one. Very strong and always fun to duel. AD have some of the best sorcs and I can barely meet any decent DK's to fight.
EP - Azzabain - best red DK by country miles and probably second only to HellPearl. Can't tell anyone else, as I roll with EP.
