The DKs i rate the highest from patch 1.0 - 1.5. (Imo the game went to *** after that.)

1. Magica De Hex.

He taught me lots about the game and gave me a chance when i was a random dude with white gear. Was also my duo partner through thick and thin. Best dueler i've seen and also among the top in open world PvP aswell. The things he did i never saw anyone else do on EU.

2. Foggy.

I doubt many remember him but he was definetly something else, a hell of a enemy and noobody could use ground oils quite like him, especially when oils went through walls. Crazy good guy and one of the best DKs. Sadly stoped playing when the lightning patch struck.

3. Clik.

EP emperor of Dawnbreaker, beeing one of the highest ranked players on EU after the first campign cycles ended. He always had intresting and diffrent builds and skillsetups and man did he hate vampires! Someone that always provided quality fights and always the guy that was one PvP rank ahead of me whislt he played actively!

4. Drecarys. (Fluffy)

Very good player in general, can master every class close to perfection. I had some of my closest and best duels against him, before 1.6 he was already very very good but beyond that hes grown to be one of the best players on EU imo.

5. Yuke.

Great player, intresting builds. Great dueler and a great DK. Provides some of the best 1vX / PvP videos from any EU player. Got crazy respect for him.

Some old names like Bipolo, Clik and Magicka De Hex definitely deserve a spot in there

On AD side Sanct and Doges, no brainer right there.

DC side, I feel there are a lot of strong dks,
Draecarys of course, Karras, Prosski, Jurra (rip), Yuke

I don't know so many of EP anymore, but I'd add Mjollga and Lhorion.

There's too many good dks to make just a top 5.

Of course this is all EU, I wouldn't know about NA

This is my personal opinion and I could miss some players, especially before 1.4, when I started.
My top 5 for each faction, not in order (PC EU)

AD:
@Ultears (Altaris): no brainer, my favourite DK ever, every patch
-Themdogesbite: not many words, good player overall (1.6)
-Saidden: (always asking me for duels to test stuff, he's a good dueler) (1.7)
And even if the next 2 are quite salty at me I will list them:
-Orbo ad chao: faced him in 1v1, 1vX, Xv1 and he was always good (1.7)
-@Sanct16 : he's better in group playing, but I am not saying this as a weakness (1.6)

DC:
-@DariusIII : top on the list, absolutely no brainer. If there were a Sorc or NB top 5, he would be on the top of them too. (1.6-1.7)
-Yuke: 2nd of the list, one of my favourite small scale players (can't wait to have a sorc top 5) (1.6-1.7)
-Krazzt Blackheart: not much to say, good dueler (1.7)
Apart from these 3, there are many other DK's that I would list as 4/5th, and I'm not gonna name them because of that.

EP:
Being an EP player, I haven't faced Dragonknights from my faction, then I will name some good players and friends without any order
-Ross16, Pancakeman450 and @Master_Kas , we play as "DK squad", just for fun (1.7)
-Skylier, a magicka DK, addicted to light armor! (1.6-1.7)
-Legendary Omar (1.7)
-Dalris, my guildmate, even if she switched to stamina when I liked her magicka DK so much (1.7)
-Daeron the wolf, who gave me some ideas for a couple of builds.

Hoping I haven't forgotten anybody, these are my favourite!

Hey, I remember you for blaming me , calling me cheater/exploiter etc. I never used any bug except invis bug (so there was not something shady all the time) I was getting invisible, not intentionally, but I was a bit mad at the actual ESO scene and wanted to have a bit fun. Ofc I abused it for one day which wasn't okay but I reported myself 2 times and I told friends to report me to so it would get fixed. Getting into a keep through closed doors (via dragonleap genius) and calling me abusing for permablocking. Lol, hope you finally got it

For your friend Omar:

You took advantage of bug and made AP on other players, maybe it would be worth mentioning that what is on the video was going on for about hour and a half, camping and killing them inside a secure keep to have some fun because you were mad at the game? really? Well how does that make it all right? It's still bug exploiting ... doesn't matter that you reported yourself .. you did it ..

same as I saw you crouching and permablocking when the stamina bug was in game ... and then you tried to convince me that your Helping hands passive returns you 2k Stamina on your Magicka Build ... which means you would have to have 40k stamina (Helping hands give 5% right? so i think my math is right)

Pulling yourself inside Nickel using chains .. never did that either, did you?

I jumped into the keep. A friend Shaer'delis was right next to the keep/postern spamming healingward on me. I didn't even block that long. I dunno how you can call me abusing the stamina regen bug when I wasn't even in sneak/trying to sneak.
800 stam regen + tripots + obsidian shield = almost 2k stamina every 2 seconds. I will not try to explain it anymore. I take the stam regen bug accusing as a compliment meaning I can handle my stamina good, so ty.

And his response to this thread about DK's:

1. Magicka De Hex (AD) - No explenation needed, everyone knows the deal.
2. Altaris (AD) - Very good DK, I looked up to him and in my opinion he's at the same level as De hex.
3. Fluffy/Dracarys/Little Bem (DC) - A bit arrogant guy, but with mastering every class he is one of the top duelers on EU. Always a honour fighting him.
4. Themdogesbite (AD) - Had alot dispute with him over useless stuff. And a bit too partisan but still he can be a nice person and is a very good player.
5. Zalinthia - Always saw her as a very good DK and learned alot from her

Bonus : Skylier (EP) - Doesn't matter if light or heavy armor, he can play the DK perfectly.

Naw Sunrest was a beast back when he played. Definitely deserves to be mentioned here.

Asgari, Fire Shot, AoE BBQ are some of the best as well, as others have mentioned.
