    That's what a DDOS attack is to devs from ESO:

    playstationlifestyle.net/2015/06/11/bethesda-conducts-elder-scrolls-online-ama-compares-launch-ddos-attack/

    Here's a quote from there:

    "Sage’s (posting as ZOS_Sage) response:

    I’m going to answer your first bullet: login problems. Please be aware, we are doing everything we can do to make this experience better for everyone. And you are correct – these problems stem from incredible demand for the game. In fact, when we first turned the servers on at game launch, it was like we experienced a DDOS attack – there was so much demand from players that it completely overwhelmed everything. We’ve been working on fixing that ever since, and are getting to the point where we are managing everything through the queue, and login errors themselves are becoming less prevalent."

    I'll let people draw their own conclusions...

    Cannot login, been trying since 7:30am PST. Get the launcher fine, launch game, login get 201 error. Restarted computer multiple times, changed password, repaired game, made sure excluded from virus scanner, etc. No game. Paid subscriber since game started, rethinking that...

    Why a DDOS attack? For fun?

    Do you mean why would they lie about a DDOS attack and not admit that their servers are too weak to hold up during the holidays when there's the most players? Or why would anyone launch a DDOS attack against ESO servers?

    PC EU has been fine for me for about 2 hours, there was almost no lag excluding Cyrodiil.

    Same here, PC/NA. I cannot log into the game and just get the Error 201 (7:4:409:1007) message.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno what is going on?

    PS4 EU servers are still jacked. Either getting timed out errors back to back to back or when I do finally get it, the game runs with 2 - 8 seconds of lag and is completely unplayable. Maybe I'm missing a post somewhere where they acknowledged they are still having problems and are looking into them or are they just closing their eyes and hoping it'll go away? A little communication from them would be lovely.
