This is should be the standard ZOS acknowledgement for a problem, along with the handprint. "We know".ZOS_BrianWheeler wrote: »We know.
ZOS is the Dark Brotherhood.

There is a player called BrianWheeler running around on Azura's Star.
I wonder....what better name to hide behind than your own!

I pvp everyday on lagzura, and no one would love to see the lag fixed more than me, but having worked as an Enterprise Administrator and many years in the computer industry, sometimes things are not as easy to fix as we wish they were, I have no idea how much time ZOS spends on this issue, I do believe it is high on the list and through trial and error they will eventually make it better, but I know it can not come soon enough.

How about you give ZOS the decency of respect that they are people that going to work just like many other people, making a living, and put the effort into 1.) keeping their jobs by meeting certain employee performance criteria and 2.) as game developers it is probably more often true than not that they have pride in their product. That product being ESO.
You want the next ESO Live guest to be David Blaine? He will appear on the show and for his trick he will enter and suspend himself inside the megaserver itself and the lag will go away.... What do you guys want at this very moment from the people of ZOS than what they have already said? Should Brian start handing out vials of his own blood as penance for what many of you perceive as a video game crime against you (lol)?
I will further add (unless someone can prove me wrong) that no other big AAA game company puts so much effort into keeping in touch with their customers. ESO Live, Gina and others here on the forums, etc.

idc if my forum account gets banned as ive stated before. I'm clearly stating a point that garbage needs to get addressed instead of blaming it on a class that its there (crits) that are causing the lag. ROFLMFAO. tried to get near BRK and crashed 5 times and finally said screw this, out of frustration. tho whats the point of lagging the server hint hint......
I'm out. way to frustrated to even want to type this discussion
So that's no to happy holidays? other games with similar AvA setup are fine performance wise, why ESO cant do it?Publius_Scipio wrote: »Brian Wheeler was a guest on the last episode of ESO Live. Do I or Krotha know you?
Is the EU server stepchild? Come here too Brian
They have been making incremental adjustments to help with lag almost every patch. This isn't something you fix overnight, as that requires knowing exactly what is causing it and exactly how to remedy that cause - diagnosis is often the biggest time investment.

u mean those (every new patch) which broke the game more?
Hell of a patching mate.

No, I said exactly what I meant to say.
From 2.2.7 patch notes:
Adjusted several abilities to improve the performance in Cyrodiil. The following abilities or item set abilities will now only apply their buffs to allies who are in your group, rather than all nearby allies:
Exploitation
Hemorrhage
Illuminate
Meritorious Service
Mountain’s Blessing
Powerful Assault
Restoring Aura
Radiant Aura
Restoring Twilight
From 2.2.5 patch notes:
Adjusted several abilities to improve overall game performance. Affected abilities will now tick less frequently, but deal more damage such that overall damage should remain constant. The affected abilities include:
Blazing Spear
Consuming Darkness and its morphs
Eruption
Lightning Splash and its morphs
Necrotic Orb and its morphs
Path of Darkness and its morphs
Radiant Destruction and its morphs

Blabla, fact is performance has been getting worse with every update.
Performance took the biggest dive in 1.6 for sure. That was when they added all these AoE buff abilities and a ton of new champion points and associated passives.
I for one appreciated and agreed with Brian's ESO live explanation of some of the things going on behind the scenes. These issues should have been considered from the design stage before adding them to begin with but no it appears they are very performance conscious and going forward as long as improvements are made (and we dont take steps backwards) I'll be satisfied.

Agreed. As much of a snip show as the last year has been, I do wholeheartedly appreciate the fact that they're moving in the right direction and also communicating more. It's too bad it took a couple of forum bans to get the point across.
Keep up the momentum ZOS, you're on the right track.
