Is Imperial really bad? It seems to me an Imperial won't have to take +Health food or enchants, so does this help them catch up? Or do the Magicka races still continue to stack magicka even further?

Dark elf isn't bad if you weave staff attacks in pvp, but generally altmer will be better. I think dunmer is the best choice for pve but the top three races there is little difference there. The fire resistance is okay but barely noticeable. The extra magicka regen on high elf is nice but not the be all end all, just nice. They also get frost damage boost, which helps if you use the ice morph of meteor.

Imperial is handy for adding raw stats and if you want to be able to change between stamina and magicka. Breton is more along the likes of a dual wield/resto build nightblade. The resistance is nice and the cost reduction is handy even if in pvp I personally prefer regen.

Simple question to any max level Dunmer magicka NBs out there -- In PVP, does a Dunmer have enough sustain to not use regen food (either as vamp or non vamp)?

If yes, then I think I'd choose Dunmer over Altmer -- for extra Stam and some free Fire Resist > Recovery (if above is true) -- the 1% magicka difference compared to +3% fire dmg might be a wash (if using fire--otherwise this doesn't matter).

Breton vs Dunmer comes down to Spell Resist (again assuming Dunmer already has enough sustain) vs +fire dmg and Fire resist + Stamina. Again, I think Dunmer wins.

v16 mag dunmer, never really have issues with resources tbh. even running dw/resto my sustain is parked happily in what i deem is my safe zone

I chose Bosmer for my NB, mainly because I wanted to try a stamina build with the option to switch to magicka.

With 5x Willows Path + 1x Blood Spawn you get a lot of stamina regen, even without drinks.

The only class where race doesn't matter. Even Nords and Argonians synergise well as NB tanks so it's completely down to what role you want to play.

I thought 5× willow's path was broken. It is a least broken for me.

Thanks -- Well I think that settles it for me. Recovery isn't really of material benefit if it's not needed, and you say that you're able to get by fine without it. Therefore, sign me up for Dunmer extra Stam and fire resist (and vamp while I'm at it). I think 1% less Magicka is a small price to pay--and even that is offset fire damage for shooting star and destro staff. Even if DW, I think 1% less Magicka = <1% difference in dps for some yummy extra Stam for dodge/CC break/sneak.

Sorry @Ishammael, but I disagree. I think it's a bit more complex than you make it out to be .
