Deconstructing Items That You Made

Is it too much to ask that when you deconstruct an item that you made on the same character, you get all of your materials back? Because honestly, it really bugs me that it's so expensive to make an item, yet you can't get anything back once it's been cycled out.

It's incredibly easy to level crafting anyways. But when it takes 110-150 materials PER item to craft now, and tons of tempers, it's stupid that you can only get 1 ingot and 1 temper when you can deconstruct it.Valrien Dravic -- Level 50 Dunmeri Sorcerer (EP)

Make, deconstruct, remake, redconstruct, remake... You get it. Makes you able to level blacksmithing etc. in like, what: 3 hours?Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game.0 -
ontheleftcoast✭✭✭✭✭That being said when you decon VR16 gear it should be like every other set and give you up to half of the amount used to construct it. As it stands you can put 140 ingots into a heavy cuirass and get 8 back on deco. 50-70 would still be a substantial reduction but not the mind-numbing amount it is now.
