Bat Swarm + Proximity Detonatio + Bolt Escape + Emperor = God Mode

Ok so is this a must have if I want to pvp? Also I heard you can't even block detonation to mitigate any damage. Why? Why does this hit just as hard as siege weapons? After the next update everyone is going to become vamps and run the same damn combo its already ridiculous out there in pvp, lol.

Bat Swarm + Detonation + Meteor = pvp skill in eso....

That -25% to fire damage will sure balance it.......
25k magic resist, 25k HP and I'm dropping before I can heal from this OP BS.

I forgot to mention that when I tried wearing the Pact gear with the 5 piece bonus decreasing enemy AoE and Siege damage by %20, I still got hit for the same insane damage. Isn't this supposed to be an AoE magic damage? Is this broken or is it supposed to ignore resists and set abilities and blocking? I'm on Xbox One also so maybe PC is a little different.

You can block Detonation... and you can not use both Meteor and Bat Swarm and once...

its also not easy to get proximity det, takes alot of work, you can also block, thats a lie. All these skills are available to everyone, so i dont know what youre moaning about

It looks like you are doing something wrong. I've played loads of PVP (alliance rank 26, solo) and have never had any trouble with this combo. You just need to practice avoiding bad situations like this instead of coming here and whining over something that is not an issue. Also, if you think meteor is effective in PVP, just pop a barrier- that will nullify the damage of three meteor ultimates and it covers everyone in the area. Most good PVP groups won't run meteor because it's not that great.

The damage is insane. You can pretty much maintain a batswarm damn near every few seconds, lol, then pop detonation. Just because everyone can get something doesn't mean its not overpowered/easymode. Sure it takes a while to get but so does lvling to V14, getting a BA and a good job takes a while also while we are at it.

I understand you guys want to hold on to that thought of being a skilled pvper but with a combo like that it doesn't take much to win, specially if you are a NB.

I tried blocking Detonation and got hit for 15k damage. Unblocked, like 25k. WTF. How is this not easymode? How do you avoid a situation where a vampire is stealthing around you at mach 5 speed and then insta killing you with batswarm+ detonation combo? If you know how to counter this please enlighten me. Im serious I would really like to know an effective counter to this flavor of the month bs combo.

everytime i have det on me, i bat mist and mitigate the dmg, never once have i been hit for 15k or 25k, you must be getting hit by someone with alot of cp, That, and your build must also be very weak. If you are weak and they are also massive on champion points, you are going to die pretty much regardless

This is on Xbox One btw. I also tried using the Pact pvp gear set that has a 5 piece bonus that decreases enemy AoE damage by 20% and enemy damage by 5% with 25k magic resist and got hit for 15k while blocking. So according to what you guys are telling me is that detonation broken on Xbox One and needs fixed.

The first time it happened I got hit for 25k damage (from emperor). I can't remember if I was blocking or not because it was so fast. At the time my magic resist was probably around 15-18k. I then went out with around 40k magic resist (buffed) and got hit for about 15k damage. I tried blocking and got hit for 15k damage. I asked people and they said you can't block it. The only option was to get away from them they said. I tried using the PVP set that has the -20% damage from player AoE abilities and while blocking I got hit for like 14.9k damage. My resist were a little lower at around 25k.

Right now its the "Iwin" ability it feels like.

maintain a bat swarm every few seconds? Are you fighting an emperor or somehow playing pre-1.6? Because the only way that can happen now is if someone kills like 10 people every few seconds and has alliance rank 24 passives, which would also mean they are fighting stupendously terrible players.

I'm a noob on Xb1 PVP and next to cold fire siege weps, this is the thing I die to the most. Grouped up siegeing a keep and boom this guy runs out does exact same combo OP complaining about and drops 3 people lol. He was a level 26 ROFL. Another thing I die to a lot is crystal shards those things are insane. Any good tips on how to mitigate those 3 things ? I'm a squishy stamblade so I expect to die a lot but I feel I can do more.

Hey nic, I'm a sword/shield templar and against crystal shards I found that blocking them actually works. I'm not sure how well it will mitigate using other weapons though. I haven't tested that out yet.

He had to have been emp while using one or more of the ultimate cost reducing sets. Only legit way of doing that right now without multiple targets to feed the combat frenzy passive.

This rant is over exaggerated. You cant bat swarm every couple of seconds and you can block det. A bat swarming person is a dead person. One dawnbreaker of smiting easily does over 20k damage to them.

Also try playing this so called FOTM class. Its hard to be a sucessful magicka NB. Their burst is crap (partially due to nirn), they are super squishy, and take alot of situational awarness. A certain potion = you win vs most magicka NBs. STA NB builds are much more forgiving with higher burst potential.

Dragon leap+prox det is the easymode combo. Not bats and prox.

Well this guy wasn't emp and he bat swarmed often. Maybe you guys just haven't figured out how yet. Prox simply does waaaay to much damage. It turns the player into a mobile siege weapon. If a blocked prox deals 15k damage then thats insane and is indeed over powered/easymode.

Detonation is easy to avoid depending on when a NB tries to teleport strike you. Also it's blockable, so you see a big red circle appearing, block. Then you block a teleport strike and the detonation and your only half dead. But then you will probably die of Dawnbreaker of Smithing though.

Also detonation was ment to take care of zergs. But it is used as a single target attack and works too good. They should remove the skill and replace it with the skill Firesiege-eyes so you can shoot fire sieges just by looking at a zerg.

If player.count>10 then shoot firesiege from eyes.

also it fits the lore because we already have the Cyclops from x-man skill in the game used by Templars.

Unless the formula for xp and alliance rank are very different on console, no:
A level 26 can not possibly have yet unlocked batswarm - it requires more xp to get to Vampire rank 10.
A level 26 is very unlikely to have gathered the AP needed (something near 2 million) to have unlocked proxy det. (Though technically possible if they managed to get this AP by repair kits only - since it rewards no xp)

A more likely scenario:
A v14 player you did not see (cloaking nb or invibats) was standing next to a level 26.

The key to surviving (the above abilities, and every ability in the game) is to spam the active defense of your choice, and then heal through any incidental damage you take. Use potions and stack regen if you are not planning on using burst and run tactics.
Use detect pots to see through cloak spam/stealth.

Active defensive include:
Cloak spam,
Dodge roll spam
Block spam (backed up with passives)
Shield stacking.

Most importantly:
Accept that even the best players in the game die. When they die, they don't complain about the ability that killed them, they analyze their play style and seek ways to improve.

I ran into that guy. I dont know how people think an ability that does insane siege weapon level damage isn't easymode. All the counters they suggested work even better against normal mode abilities but against prox it just lets you survive a few more seconds. My theory is they rely on this easymode tactic and are affraid of a future nerfage.

I really wonder why I ever bothered buying a console, take note that the rough percentage of pc players simply put up with certain skills, and just get on with improving their game style.

Now for Console (particularly xbox users) it's more along the lines of "this skill is op because it killed me...nerf nerf nerf! They're a dirty scrub/noob/cheat "

Blocking it and being hit for 15k damage isn't really a counter. It's like it's damage is % based because no matter my resists it's roughly the same damage. You say people move on and improve their game style when in reality they just start using the same over powered bs so they can compete, lol. This your first mmo bro?
