Requested list of tools needed to test on PTS

This thread is to request and test senarios for folks that will not be on the PTS, don't have the gear, or don't have the groups to test something out. Based on our streamer list, streamers can take on a request and highlight it as a response. Keep in mind the more generic or niche the question, the less likely it will be addressed.

Good example:
With the changes to dodgerolling, how many dodge rolls can someone do consecutively? Can you still lava whip and surprise attack them?

Bad example:
how bad is the dodgeroll nerf? (People can try to reply, but you're already negative and it's a broad topic)

How many times can I dodge with Vicious Ophidia and 100 champion points in tumbling (few folks may have this setup)


So submit anything and we'll try to keep this updated during PTS when yhey release it =3

Yeah, test whether or not you can use "/stuck" and whether or not you lose any TV stones after killing one of the mini-bosses or wherever it looks like the TV farming will be going on.

I'm certain a lot of this will want to try this. I'm curious what will happen if you log out in a full zone, will it bounce us out with full stones or not. Plus what happens when you die to environmental, still 10%? Well have to see

@NPK Daniel already has a planned event to test some of this here, but some of this will be controlled chaos.

Crafting writs.
If there is a new passive point required to craft new v15/16 gear (cloth/wood/smithing), invest the skill point, and do some crafting writs. Does this require use of the new mats for v15/16? To where does the writ require delivery of the items?
Once you have the skill point to craft v15/16 gear, do maxed hirelings deliver the new mats for crafting gear at this level?
If time permits, do multiple writs to try figure out the approximate drop rate for Glass motif fragments.

For Alchemy and Enchanting, is there a new skill level/passive required, and new v10 or v15 level at which potions/glyphs can be created?

I keep hearing about Damage Reductions, I want to know how much.

Why PvP has to keep messing with my PvE experience is not something I like.

I understand people have bots setup to determine the PTS for item information as soon as it goes live. HeroOfNone if you want to do testing for us I’m sure we would all appreciate it (^_^)

1) PVP: With the Damage Reductions to PVP how do DOT work and are they worth using.
2) PVP: In small group PVP is player farming just about fear, stuns and who have the best AOE
3)PVP/PVE: Will the Bow finally become a weapon no one uses? As a pure DPS weapon as it is on live the bow is mathematically disadvantaged at end game and if you built your gear around the bow (bow only bonuses) then your other weapon takes a DPS loss as well. Will there be any reason to use a Bow is small group PVP?
4) PVP/PVE: What are the new gear sets?
5) PVP/PVE: Are there new stat food?
6) PVP/PVE: Are there new crafting levels?
7) PVP: What are the access requirements for the new PVP area?
8) PVP: If only one faction can control the new PVP area at a time does this mean you will be fighting other people in your faction?
9) PVP/PVE: Are they advancing the legerdemain skill line

PVE :
Mainly I'm concerned about the impact of 0 Stamina regen while blocking on Tanks, especially with regards to longer fights.

Will tanking now require Stam pot spamming or some other form of Stamina boost to remain viable?
How will this effect trials where the tank pretty much HAS to keep block up all the time. (3+ axes on the Mage for example)

Considering there are many people that don't even read this section of the forum specifically because they do not intend to play/download PTS, perhaps you should move this thread to where it will actually be read by the target audience you want to help --- or at the very lest make a link over in GD to this thread.

@Bfish22090 players from both servers will have access to the PTS as long as it is online. However the character copys will only be done for one megaserver seperately. The first 2 weeks NA players will have their live characters available, while the following 2 weeks it will be EU's turn.
Players without a character copy on the PTS will have to use testing templates with specific gear and consumables (choosen by zos) to do their testing. Or they can create a new lvl 1 charackter if for some reason they want to test the levelling process or so.

How about if all the exploits are working still or not. Would like to know if I should continue giving this company my money.......if they are still in existance, then no more money. If they are fixed then they get money. Also try to find new exploits and make them known!!!! Enough of this BS where people discover them and don't report them except for on certain sites.......

I feel you. I'd like someone to tank up to 4 AA axes and report back on experience as far as the stam regen nerf is involved.

OGLezard you need to be more specific, if you want us to test exploits in order for us to determine if they have been patched our not then you need to list the exploits that you want tested and how they are done/what they do.

PvP, my biggest concerns with the damage changes is that it's going to be a lot more difficult taking on multiple opponents since it'll require more hits to kill which will make zergs much more powerful now. I hate zergs.

it is against the ToS to talk about how they are done. I cant go into detail obviously, I just want to know if they are fixed.....

I will be testing to see if certain over used abilities are still bugged out (camo hunter, dawn breaker of smiting, etc.) But you are correct that testing and especially recording exploits violate the TOS. I have messaged the community email on testing this in a victim role even (on the receiving end with no record on how to do the exploit) but never got a reply. While I like to be through in my testing, I can't ask anyone to risk violating the TOS and getting a ban.


Maybe if @ZOS_GinaBruno can bump this over to developers to discuss they can come up with an exception or a better method to check, but they will be busy with the legit way to play. I share your frustration.

I would really love screenshots of the new armor and weapon styles. I'll be going to PTS, but who knows if I'll get my hands on a motif, so screenshots would be helpful. Thanks!
